Hi,

Finally, the Nieuport-Delage Ni-D62 model is ready in version 1.0.

you can download it on the website of the "Royale French Navy", here:

http://royalefrenchnavy.restauravia.fr/RFN-Creations.htm#Avi (http://royalefrenchnavy.restauravia.fr/RFN-Creations.htm#Avi)

It is DX10 compatible and as a bonus a static version is proposed (lol).

Some screens, the shark attacks and the cock sings and fights ...

The Spanish model is postponed.

I hope you'll find fun using it as much as I've had to model it!

Took her for a test flight today and was very impressed. I don't know how a D62 should fly by she flies very easily and is very acrobatic.
Only changes I would suggest is increase the reflective-ness of the textures so she does not look so flat and add the default Handheld Radio, since if you were flying a restored D62 today that is the one thing you would have to add.

Hi,

Did you try the proposed replacement environment files ? For the radio, this will be done with the update including the Spanish version Hispano-Nieuport Ni-D52. Thank you for your suggestions.

Again I am not reading the full installation instructions and getting in trouble because of it. I was a bit confused by the line in readme.txt that said

"you must install the files in the global texture directory of your installation"

I copied them into "SimObjects\Airplanes\Ni_D62\texture" and they worked great.

If that's where they are supposed to be you could always have them there to start with. If you intended them to be installed into "C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Texture" then I don't think that is really necessary.

Oops, I do not have p3D. I did not know , thank's. For FSX, I used the texture global directory after saving the original files. This only affects the chrome texture algorithm (textures are more shiny) and does not disturb other textures.

Ok ...Now on "Royale French Navy" here :

http://royalefrenchnavy.restauravia.fr/RFN-Creations.htm

Look at Ni-D62, you have also the spanish version :

"Quasiment identique au NI-D62, hormis le fait que sa structure soit entièrement métallique, le "HN-52 (Hispano-Nieuport 52) (http://royalefrenchnavy.restauravia.fr/RFN-Creations)" fut construit sous licence en Espagne par Hispano-Suiza Guadalajara."

Other than that the D52 was all metal while the D62 still used some wood, were there any performance differences between the aircraft?

gastonj

Hello,

Yes, lighter the Ni-D62 was faster (10 mph more).
In addition, the Ni-D62 had a compressor that allowed it better performance at altitude (> 10 000 feet).
However the flight model is the same for the 2 given the few differences/

Where did you find that? I think what's more important...how did you get it into FSX?

I am disappointed to see that you prefer this one over mine. Not very encouraging for me to persevere in modeling (lol)

My apologies, Gaston, that was NOT the intent. Your Nieuport-Delages are fantastic. I was just wanting to know how he ported that one over into FSX for AI purposes. I tried to convert a CFS2 NiD-62 some time back and let's just say it didn't end well.

Hi,

There is no matter. I understood correctly, I was joking.
