or has done a Lockheed PV-2 "Harpoon" for FSX?
You might and read this and it's the reason I'm wondering.

niiiiiiice.....id love to have one for fsx..i love my alpha sim hudson...but to have piglet or lionheart or vertigo do one..or maybe A2A with accusim...wow.....
Yeah, it would be nice to have one made for FSX seeing that one in the article is the one and only "Harpoon" in left in existance.

Interesting article!
There is in fact quite a number of surviving Harpoons, not just one. There are actually two WWII-configured PV-2 Harpoons currently airworthy in the U.S. - "Attu Warrior" and "Hot Stuff". There are a few others that are on static display in museums as well. Further more, there are a number of PV-2's undergoing restoration at this time, at least a couple of which I know are being restored to military configuration and will be flown when finished. For instance, work has just begun on this one, which will be bone/factory stock when finished: http://warbirdinformationexchange.or...hp?f=3&t=38160
There is as good a number of surviving Harpoons as there is, because of their roles as fire-fighting water bombers following their military service.
Here is a listing of all of the known surviving PV-2's: http://warbirdregistry.org/pv2harpoo...nregistry.html
As well as all the known surviving PV-1 Venturas besides: http://warbirdregistry.org/pv1ventur...aregistry.html
The Harpoon has long been a life-time favorite of mine - designed right, and a cool name to go with it.

What a great read.
A Harpoon or Ventura would be terrific to have. Can't beat a Lockheed Twin.
Striker, listen, and you listen close: flying a plane is no different than riding a bicycle, just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes.
Now that's a great story and yep, a real tear-jerker.
There was some talk a while back by one of the developers about building a Harpoon for FSX.
I think I'll remind him about it and see if there is still some interest there.
I always did love the look of the Harpoon.

Until someone decides to do a real harpoon, a Howard 500 in USN or RAF colors might do the trick as well.
The advantage: Much more power at your hands.
Bu. 37159 spent quite a few years just two blocks from my house. While on patrol one night a fellow officer asked me to meet him behind an oilfield business next to the airport. When I rounded the corner of the building he had the Harpoon lit up with his search light. What a wonderful sight that was. We spent quite a while walking around it admiring the great shape it was in. Not flyable, but there were many spare parts that we could see inside. The paint was in very good shape. It was moved a few years ago, but I don't know where. I did see the fuselage of a Harpoon at the Abbeville airport just south of here that was stripped of all paint.
They are putting together a WWII museum for local vets there. Maybe the Harpoon will be a static display there.

I believe FSAddon are making a Hudson - the predecessor to the Harpoon.
