Hello everyone,
you all may have heard about the new european VAT law for digital downloads that forces us to apply the individual VAT percentage of each customer's country.
This new law goes along with a quite considerable administrative expense that is put on the seller's end that forced us to stop sales to EU-customers beginning 1.1.2015.
Anyway, we mastered the hurdles and are now back in business for our European neighbours.
Note customers from Germany or non-EU-countries were not affected from the service outage anyway.
The bad news: EU customers will have to pay the VAT that is valid in their home country which is in most cases higher than the previously applied German VAT.
And to top off the information: Customers from non EU countries still don't pay VAT (let's see how long it lasts, oh well!)
Greetings and a beautiful "first of May" to you all!
EDIT: where is my "S" in "ervice"??? :-)
