Hoping to see this one gracing the skies on my computer soon! This is a thing of beauty - and I can't thank you guys enough for all your hard work getting the Mallard ready for flight!

...a small word is due;
I have been trying to fix somehting I did wrong from the start,
the cabin walls textures were not matching correctly with the ceiling texture,
and after a few frustrated attempts and most important, being the guy delaying this whole project, I have somehow found out what I was doing wrong;
Its fixed !
"Is it important?" some may ask...YES, to me it is. if I can have the right pixel at the right place,
I will go over every single layer if needed to find the culprit
Also real life problems do not allow me to have a full time FSX hobby, although I try.
Some screenshots gentlemen, and ladies, to show the side wall panels added, and upholstery textures.
Hope you like it and find these acceptable.
next is just matching the shade textures, give the cabin a darker look, and voilá.
wont delay the FSX model anymore!
My apologies.
yours,
rui
Left side was ok...
But right side had a "darker line"...
the ceiling texture was not mirrorred, hence this annoying visual glitch...done now!
oh, and heres the side panels:
"Emergency Exit" window panel added:
So happy you have found the issue manecas. I suppose I better get the rest of the project reviewed and prepared for a beta release. Will be awaiting your texture updates and liveries. Thank you.
Milton, Sir, it will be ready today, Saturday.
I have every single layer ready to merge, just need to finish the cabin darkness layer,
make it look real.
I would like to fine tune my CAT texture, and a House Colours too, blue grey and yellow.
But those can come later, the cabin texture is mandatory right now, and have the center wing spar area matched too with the ceiling texture as well.
CabinSeats texture is ready to go too!
Thank you all for your patience!
Rui
Thank you Sir. :-)
That will complete the texture requirements I believe for the FSX native LDR project.
As for the FS9 side, there is still some work to do on the cockpit textures and panels.
Let me see what can be done there.
Dear fellow simmers, just to inform you I have now ( 6 AM here, ouch!) just finished the two textures missing for the FSX Mallard, again my apologies for my delay.
Some printscreens for you to see, have a great Sunday!
yours, RC
one more since this forum only allows four images at a time...
Just a few more tweaks...
The Air Alaska livery's looking very good, nice work.
I could live inside that plane... the interior work is absolutely gorgeous!

Thank you very much for Grumman Mallard team, that you made this seaplane possible for FSX, i have only seen Mallard for FS2002, not for FSX or even FS2004.
Finally i can make my seaplane flights in Florida and around the Bahamas with Mallard
You are quite welcome Toni. We love this aircraft as well and with the help of many people you see in this thread, she will come available before much longer.
I was very pleased to make the project available for the LDR team to convert; they do excellent work as the FSX native version shows.
A small update gentlemen...bear with me, I am still a rookie in this panel painting business, but Milton has been helping me a lot, and this is what we've done so far;
should be finished today, then its the overhead panels, same visual treatment!
YAY!!!
You're looking really great, Sir - don't be afraid of going bold with those shadows; makes the world of difference, especially a top cast and blending in the corners.
EDIT; Baaaa!!! Don't worry about being a 'Rookie' - we are all Rookies, my friend; the day we should become 'experts' and stop learning, would be the most boring day of our lives :-)

Thank you! most kind.
Added a few more visual details, pics later....slow painter here, again, bear with me please.
I found this paint of the turbprop Mallard in my Dropbox the other day. I suspect Manecas can't help himself, or he needed a break from the radial version he's been working on since August. Should I admonish him?
