    Some photos you'll be familiar with,.....but there will many that might be new to you. My favorite pic is the one where the ground crew is loading up .50 cal bullets into the nose of a P-38.....somewhere in England. Enjoy!

    These are great photos, albeit there appear to be a few modern ones in there.

    But can someone please tell me, in photo #6 (the B-17 ball turret), what exactly is the strange object above and to the left of the turret ??? A paddle ?
