Well I have tried the autostart function, Ctrl + E, and that didn't work. So I then restarted the flight and looked over the controls and did a start up procedure that seemed the most logical, but that didn't work either. After reading the manual it seems my guess at start up procedure was right on the money, but all I got was "bad boys, bad boys..."
On the installation it says to install the Runtime x86 app but it says I have a newer version. I wouldn't think that would be an issue, but obviously I'm missing something.
Okay I went through the start up again and I guess I missed something last time because this time it worked. I didn't get a lot of time to fly before the time limit ran out; I had a hard time figuring out how to get the canopy closed and locked. Anyway, very interesting flight model. I think I will have to add this one to my hangar.
Brettt777,our policy for the time trial (and I do not remember how much software houses offer it instead of a closed box...yes,there is the refound in many cases, but in this way you do not touch your credit card) is to let the simmer check if the add-on is ok for the hardware he is using. Maybe he can find a big issue of frame drop (but our model are very light, until now, nobody noticed this kind of problem) or maybe he do not like the model itself. Ok,for us is a transparence policy, and we think is correct to let the simmer freely decide. 8 Minutes are enough to evaluate these points and the purpose of time trial is not surely to make an extendef flight check (but a short one is possible with some practice).
I'm glad you found our model interesting,we spent thousands of hours to do our best.
..Now I go back with my current job: prepare the paintkits
Bye,
Alessandro.
Did somebody installed this F84F it in FSX DX10? Here I have black canopy glass...
Note: I have installed the glass_t.dds file from the P3D2 patch, and it's much better now, but still a bit too opaque for my taste.
Same issue. I don't mind switching to DX9 for this bird, but a DX10 transparent canopy would be much appreciated. (Slightly opaque from outside, completely black/opaque from inside view now)
The start sequence was baffling me until I realized that the start switch isn't spring loaded to return to center. So:
1) Batt On
2) Power Lever Idle
3) Start Switch - One click to start position - then One click to return to center (which for me engages the starter).
This sequence works every time.

Here are a few more and lets see if I can get full size from ol' Photobucket, I thought I'd fixed that!
... well nope
Anyway, departed Edwards, "a ripping and a tearing" through the L.A. basin, back up over the mountains and on approach to Edwards.
Boy this thing will kill you on approach.
I've seen just a few things that seem to bother me:
1. loose the green scrolling line at top on screen when I select this aircraft....
2. seems like the gear lever is backwards...
3. found the drag chute yellow lever in V.C. that opened the drag chute compartment in tail of aircraft but I could not push/pull the lever back in from the V.C., so it just stayed open.
No I have not read the manual
I'll go and do that tomorrow and see if there is a proper way to fix these things.
I agree withthis is on par with the Milviz Sabre!

That last pic ! (o_0')
Is it one of the default repaints ??
Altogether a hugely impressive piece of work - thanks to Alessandro, Mario and all at SSW. Only problem I have is it keeps overloading my system memory. Have to push sliders to the left to get it to work properly. I might try to reduce the .dds file sizes; detail may have to be sacrificed for function!
Happy Xmas All

I'm looking forward to an old USAF Air Guard camo paint , that would really kick this one in the butt ! <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><input jscode="leoInternalChangeDone()" onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();} else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">
