Very good Jorge , it is indeed Chateau de Cheverny. In the comic book a slightly smaller version is the Castle of Captain Haddock, a friend of Tintin, and the castle is called Chateau Moulinsart.
The Castle is one of the four beautiful Chateaux de Loire done by Pascal Dumat. As Pascal's site seems to have disappeared, I don't think the scenery is still available.
I will post some screenshots this evening.
Cheers,

Edit: The links in The Way Back machine still seems to work : acceuil.htm (archive.org)
Good evening Huub,
thank you for the link,
so I do not need to search further more if I have them somewhere.
Sadly Pascal never finished the last two ones.
I don' t know why.

Excellent screen shots Rawsthorne .
Do not fear the enemy, for they can take only your life. Fear the media far more, for they will destroy your honour.
I concur, Rawsthorne! REALLY NICE!
I've always loved Mr. Ito's work. I'm updating some of the pre-WW2 stuff he did for the pre-WW2 updates I'm doing for FS9. Some update better than others!

Hallo,
if we speak about Cheverny and the relation of Tintin's adventures
we come to his friend's chateau "Moulinsart" and as we are in flightsimming we need his red helicopter
Yes it is not the right model but I didnt find another beeing as close to
Best regards
Michael Vader
A good choice, Michael. The red helicopter ressembles more or less to the one shown in the album "The Calculus Affair". BTW, some several years ago I did these situations published in the same album. They depict the flight of Tintin and Captain Hadock from Melsbroek to Geneva.
Georges Remy draw this album with some meticulous details, especially what concerns the scenes in and around Geneva. He then was helped by a good friend there, who furnished him a lot of informationsaqnd pictures.

The mig-21 by Ito is very good ! (the model at least)
There are many paint kits around, in all possible levels of quality. It takes a lot of time and effort to make a good paint kit. Which I think is not always enough appreciated.
Among the very best are those by Martin "ICDP" Catney done for the A2A/Shockwave models. and those done by John "Bomber_12th" Terrell. John did many extra ordinary paint kits and has a special talent to make metal look like metal. He is a master in creating all variations of finishes form highly polished to, anodised, to war-worn, to even aluminium dope painted.
Although the ones for his Warbirdsim models and the one for Warwick "Wozza" Carter's Texan are absolutely stunning, my personal favourite is the final paint kit John did for the A2A/Shockwave/WWii fighters P-51D Mustang. It does not only include the layered files to create the main textures, but also contains all files for the alphas!
I don't know whether everybody is aware, but nearly all repaints (and there are a awful lot!) for theA2A/Shockwave/WWii-fighters P-51D Mustang, are created based on this paint kit. This includes the over 1,000 repaints done for this model by JanKees Blom..... .
Cheers,
Huub
