Thanks Huub for the clarification on the Fury.
Thanks Huub for the clarification on the Fury.
Hi Huub, it was an experiment by Douglas Kallen of Touch the sky simulations to push the limits of FS9. It's been around since 2011.
The detail is stunning even the rigging wires vibrate.
Yes the models were done by Stuart Green and he used his own face for the pilot. In the distant past I had some contact with him and Stuart was a very pleasant character with a good sense of humor.
When he stopped making models he left his site online for a very long period. But a few years ago the site disappeared.
Especially his WWII models were absolutely top notch when he released them around 2005. And 15 years later they are still among the best WWII models ever released for the Microsoft flight simulators.
Cheers,
Huub
Douglas Kallen and Robert Sanderson have worked together. The last Hurricanes by Robert Sanderson (which he still called Betas) are very detailed as well, and have the odd animations which we hardly see anywhere else. The antenna cables from these models are moving in the wind and the chin strap from the pilot's helmet does as well.
The very nicely detailed pilot scans the sky in a very natural way. And breaking propeller blades when you crash land.
Cheers,
Huub
Indeed, yet another great iconic developer that has 'left the room' and whose legacy is still with us.
I do have all, or most of his aircraft in my Golden Wings, and he did have a sense of humor.. Did he not do a flying pig and other cartoon planes?
These types of addons are missed! We need more fun!!

Thanks for the reminder to re-install that P-3 again
But in the meanwhile we go back in history...............

Robbie's 'Biff'
Probably the best WW1 type for fs2004.

All beautiful models Pete, but one demoiselle doesn't really look like the other............
(Graig Richardson's version of the Santos-Dumont Demoiselle Replica (Dragonfly)).
Your version is most likely the original one by France-VFR, like the incredible Nieuport. Graig's Löhners are really causing wet feet.... (glitch in the model)
Cheers,
Huub
last time I looked Huub, there were 3 different versions of the Santos Dumont Demoiselle available for fs9..
But you are correct, the one from Frenchvfr is based on the Santos Dumont #19; whereas Craig's replica is based on the later Santos Dumont #21....and if you hop over to Simviation, there's the later #22 ,done by Marcel di Foggi

When we start to post images from this era, this one is of course a must!

Which is that one??

What Huub said... Avro Triplane by Ted Cook.
If you search 'Edward Cook ' at flightsim.com, you'll find it there.
Oh ...and don't forget the Bleriot from here, either

In this one should of course have been a default aircraft in FS2004 A century of flight.
The iconic Bleriot XI by Jean-Michel Castagne. I can assure you, it is really a challenge to cross the channel with this model.\

Edit: Great minds think alike Pete. When you wrote the post above I took the screenshot from the same aircraft.
