    Lots of old planes about

I generally run several times a week and while running near Thun Field south of Puyallup, WA, I often see some pretty neat planes in the circuit.

Yesterday it was an old Army U-8 VIP transport. I saw lots of 'em early in my career, but this is the first one (obviously restored) in a while. I believe that it is normally parked at a private airfield near Bonny Lake, WA.

Today it was a PT 79 bi-plane trainer and a C-47 (Usually on the ramp at Thun Field) that overflew me on my seven mile loop. Just love the sound of those radial engines.

The old U-8. Lovely old bird with some pretty mean sounding inline engines.

No, I was jogging and wasn't very well prepared for taking pictures. I guess I ought to take something for photos though as you never know what's going to fly into Thun Field.
