Icon5 New Project by the Ford Project Team

The Ford Project Team is into another exciting project - a recreation of some historical Indian scenery. The project is intended to be self contained within a batch of various Parts - each building on the previous part but overall the total Project will be indenpendent of other Ford Scenery - so as the parts are released they will all blend together to create a single package representing the 1930's era of India and India's importance to early aviation.

The project is planned to be over 6 Scenery Parts and 2 AI aircraft Parts.

Part 1 - Scenery - Pondicherry - is now completed and will be released soon.
Part 2 - Scenery - TATA Routes across India - is now completed and will be released soon.

Part 1 - AI Aircraft - 22 liveries across 4 different aircraft, Ford Tri-Motor, Vega5, DH80 and Handley Page 42 - is now completed and will be released soon.

The AI Package is designed to transit aircraft all throughout the TATA routes and to do circuits for the Pondicherry Airfield.

Part 3 - is under development and the remaining parts are still in the planning stages but will route South, West and East of India revitalising a historical set of airfields and routes which were essential staging post for many famous flights.

For further information I would recommend you pop over to this page of the Ford Project Site.

Strongly recommend that you check out the Slideshow (available on the page above) which shows much of the scenery detail and some of the many unique models that have developed specifically for this project.

Important to remember this project and everything else on the Ford Project site is FREE and created for your enjoyment.

Hope you like what you see.

Great idea! I really haven't flown around South Asia too much so this will be a great incentive to do so once the project is up.

    Icon5 Part 1 - Part 2 - and AI Pack 1 - ready

Firstly thank for your responses - and now the exciting stuff
The 1930's era of Pondicherry (VOPC) Scenery (Part1) of the Ford India Project has now been release and is available at the Ford Project Site
    or
Direct link to the project http://www.ford-tri-motor.net/ford-india-project.htm

Pondicherry is the first part of a 6 part India Scenery Project by the Ford Project Team.

Part 2 is also complete which includes the TATA and Son's Air Services route across India with 1930's version of Colombo, Madras, Hyderabad, Bombay, Ahmedabad and Karachi.

Additionally, a comprehensive AI package is available which includes 4 aircraft and 22 liveries specific to India with flights transiting along the TATA routes and circuits at Pondicherry.

Part 1, Part 2 and the AI TrafficPart 1 packages are now available for download but only at the Ford Project site
    http://www.ford-tri-motor.net/ford-india-project.htm

If you like the Pondicherry scenery then you will indeed enjoy the additions of Part 2 and the AI traffic package to enrich and enjoy the 1930's flying throughout the Indian Empire.

Welcome some feedback on this scenery - big project and still a long way to go - but would be good to get some feedback to see if we are pumping out something of interest/value to the simmers out there.

    Regards and happy simming.

I'm in the process of setting up Silver Wings and Golden Wings. The Ford project will be a large part of my GW program and this is a very nice addition.

Thanks mate - working on Part 3 now - some more exciting models and around 11 airfields in the pot at the moment as we work on this part of the project.

Edward has bravely ventured into an area that I believe has not been done to the extent that we are planning for the India region and the linking regions encompassing an important historical set of airfields that were used during the era for many of the world record type flights of that era.
