    Iris easter eggs!

    Some new freeware aircraft from Iris here: http://www.irissimulations.com.au/ha...ster-eggs-2013

    The IRIS Easter Eggs is a new tradition which will see various projects either in development or closed off, released to the public as freeware or donationware.
    This year features four aircraft from the IRIS workshops;

    • IRIS CRJ-200
    • IRIS CRJ-900
    • IRIS Sentinel R.1
    • IRIS Global Express XRS

    All the aircraft feature high resolution external artwork and custom sound-packs. They all make use of the default FSX CRJ cockpit and systems along with the default CRJ Flight Models.

    Update on their facebook:

    Just a heads up that I'm done with version 1.1 of the Easter Eggs product and the file now weighs in at about 140Mb with the new additions.

    The downside is that it's about an hour and a half left on the upload with my ISP and it's already 2.20am here.

    So I'm going to call it a night I'm afraid. I've taken the product page down so not to cause confusion and as soon as I wake up in the morning, I'll make sure the file uploaded correctly and make it available on the website.

    At last, an Iris CRJ-200 paint kit and a Delta Connection livery surfaced a few days ago at avsim's library, thanks to A.J. Cook. Search for iris_crj200_delta.zip and iris_crj200_paintkit.zip.

    As A.J. points out in his readme file, this Iris model has some flaws, like untextured cockpit (in outside view). So I tried to darken the cockpit windows with some DtxBmp and MDLMatXX tweaks, but so far I got it all wrong... I hope someone will find a trick...

    I don't think it's necessary, here are the one I use:

    Code:
    [LIGHTS]
    //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing
    light.0 = 3,  -69.85, -37.00, -0.50,  fx_navred
    light.1 = 3,  -69.85,  37.00, -0.50,  fx_navgre
    light.2 = 3,  -109.90,  0.00, 14.645, fx_navwhi
    light.3 = 1,  -45.626,  0.00, -2.30,  fx_beaconb
    light.5 = 1,  -45.65,   0.00,  7.00,  fx_beaconh
    light.6 = 4,  -10.00,   0.00,  3.90,  fx_vclighth
    light.7 = 2,  -69.85, -36.50, -0.50,  fx_strobeh
    light.8 = 2,  -69.85,  36.50, -0.50,  fx_strobeh

    [SMOKESYSTEM]
    smoke.0=-86.490, -7.751, 3.401, fx_smoke_f6
    smoke.1=-86.490,  7.751, 3.401, fx_smoke_f6
    I've adjusted the front gear contact point:

    Code:
    [contact_points]
    point.0=1, -22.00,   0.00,  -6.236, 1600, 0, 0.5625, 46.8, 0.28, 1.11, 0.20, 10.0, 10.0, 0, 260.0, 260.0
    ...
    Playing with the paintkit (I hope I'm not the only one...). I choose this JAL livery for its simplicity, but still a long way to go...
