What? No cloud shadows? :isadizzy:
Thanks for the h/u, looks promising. I was a bit disappointed by the last release, it had some annoying issues like ultra slow weather download as well as bugs in the weather injection.
I think the problem with no cloud shadows is nothing an addon could handle, because it's a feature (or rather a non-feature) of the FSX/P3D engine?
Cheers,
Mark

REX site featured teaser shots some years ago, which indicated cloud shadows are possible in FSX.
Attachment 73313
In fact they were present in beta version of FSX, as seen in this tick box:
Attachment 73312
But they proved to be way too FPS demanding and otherwise tricky, so the REX team's chase for shadows has been put to rest, at least for now.
bummer! Thanks, didn't know they were working on it!

Yep it is bummer indeed. Cloud shadows would have made a huge difference in how alive everything looks. Who knows what kind of tricks P3D v2 has up its sleeve... maybe cloud shadows.
Here's the conclusion, in case someone is interested: http://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com...cloud-shadows/
