Would you want to see this for FS9?

Just a quick poll: if I were to produce FS9 versions of either Dillingham X or Plum Island (or both), would any of you be interested? This isn't a commitment, I'm just gauging interest. The latest SimFlight poll about sim version usage got me to thinking about it.

I'd have to say that we'd be interested in anything that you wanted to do! So that's a yes!

    Yes most certainly.
I bought Plum Island for FSX and love the scenery but rarely use it as I don't particularly like FSX as a platform.
I would happily pay for both for FS9 and fly in them a lot more.
Thank you for considering this option.

And the sales of one release *could* be an indicator for future endeavors....

    Bill,

If Plum Island was made for fs2004 I would buy without a second thought. I have been looking at the review at http://www.screenshotartist.co.uk/pl...and_review.htm and I was impressed.

I hope that you do make it for fs2004 even if its available for a certain amount of time.

    Is Plum Island an island?

It'd be a pointless exercise. It was designed 100% with FSX tools and techniques. It wouldn't even load. I've been trying to lay out all the steps required to make it compatible with FS9, and there's way more to it than you'd think. That's why I asked the question... to get some sense of if it would be worth the work or not.

I guess aircraft are a lot more friendlier to convert back and fourth, materials and special animation/effects code aside.

If it could be done, it would be wild.

Sasha who works with Aerosoft does some amazing FS9 terrain texturing and scenery. He might be able to help you out on the conversion process. He did Pattonville. (You have to see it to believe it).
