    Freeware zip/rar utility?

A while back, someone here recommended a freeeware a zip/rar utility that was similar to Winrar. It worked great but I lost it reinstalling XP. I can't find it
in a search, just the payware Winrar. Anyone have any ideas what this is might be?

    Thank you,
    John

7-zip maybe. But I swear the free trial of Winrar never ends.
All modern aircraft have four dimensions: Length, Width, Height and Polotics. The TSR.2 simply got the first three right

WinRar is what I call "Nagware." When it's time to purchase, it keeps working, but it nags you about it one time each time you open the program. But with the functions integrated into the right-click ("context") menu, you can even bypass that. Right-click any archive that WinRar can extract and pick a destination. You get a mini-GUI showing the progress, but the main app doesn't open, so no nagging.

I've been using this for a couple of years; it unzips EVERYTHING. I like it more than WinZip for extraction.
