It is a sad day when I see a story like this, I have always held a special respect for anyone who chooses a career to serve and protect the citizens of their country, Military, Police, Firefighting, EMT all the services that could, or will put the person in very real personal danger each time they go to work. These folks are heroic to the core IMHO, the one group that I especially look up to are what we call here in Canada the SAR Tech's - Search and Rescue Tech's (I am not sure of the designation in other countries), these folks are SPECIAL! Today we lost one of our SAR Tech's in a rescue mission he gave his life to save anothers - there is nothing more heroic in Ole Gig's mind.

Here is a link to one of the stories from CBC today - http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/story/...lik-death.html

I know I will be remembering Sgt. Janick Gilbert t424 (Tiger) Squadron - Search and Rescue his coming Rememberance Day along with all my other heros who choose to serve and protect.
