    Captain Sim sale

    Who else made use of the Captain Sim sale?

    After the 727, the C130 and the B-52 in previous years, this time I bought myself the 707, and it's a beauty:

    You can find most of my repaints for FSX/P3D in the library here on the outhouse.
    For MFS paints go to flightsim.to

    Will probably get the B-52, and been thinking about the 707 too.

    BTW Where did you get the Transavia paint, or have you already started painting it..?

    Picked up the Buff....nice addon. Had to re-install it once; seems as though it didn't install properly the first time. Now all is good, and it is working great!

    This deal is too good to let it pass, another goodie is you can use the old FS9 liveries:

    Attachment 42243

    The only thing I did have a hard time with was starting up the engines manually - some kind of quick reference was missing from the CS manuals... Then I made one for myself and added it to the kneepad:

    Engine Startup Quick Reference

    The normal engine starting sequence is 3, 4, 2, 1.
    </SPAN>

    Model Animation Panel (shft-2):
    </SPAN>
    - Select External Power and Air
    </SPAN>

    Engineer station:
    </SPAN>
    - Electrical Power EXTERNAL ON
    - Engine Bleed Air switches ON
    </SPAN>
    - All Crossfeed Selectors OPEN
    </SPAN>

    Throttles:

    - All Engine Start Levers to CUTOFF detent

    Overhead panel:
    </SPAN>
    - Ground Start </SPAN>Selector switch to LOW PRESS</SPAN>
    - Engine Start Control Selector to GROUND
    </SPAN>

    Throttles:
    </SPAN>
    - Engine Start Lever to START detent @ 15% N2, then to IDLE detent.
    </SPAN>

    Then repeat the process for engine 4, then 2, then 1.

    Overhead panel:

    - Ground Start Selector switch to OFF

    Engineer station:

    - Essential Power Source to GEN 3</SPAN>
    - Electrical Power EXTERNAL OFF

    Model Animation Panel (shft-2):

    - Un-Select External Power and Air
    </SPAN>
    </SPAN></SPAN></SPAN></SPAN></SPAN>

    Yep, got the 707 and B-52. Toyed with the idea of getting the weapon pack as well, but not sure how much use I'd make of it or whether I wan't to add that function to FSX.

    Looking forward to some flying tonight.

    I got the 707 too....haven't installed it yet,though. Anyone knows if there's an Aer Lingus paint for it?
