fsds 3.5 to FSX beginner question

    Hi,

After years of doing no designing at all, I decided to restart doing planes. So I bought FSDS 3.5.1 today and guess what, I'm not even able to get anything to show in FSX.
I even created just a basic tube. It exports ok but in FSX it says 'visual model can't be displayed.
Couldn't find anything in the help file as this is only for FS9. I 'think' I've read that a part needs to be textured to be displayed so I wrapped a texture around the tube but again, nothing.
    Any ideas?

I'm (trying) to use XtoMdl and have the NET framework, MSXML and DX10 installed

This is the report I get upon compilong from FSDS

    OutputFile: _temp.MDL
    Output file after modification: _temp.MDL
    Creating output MDL file: _temp.MDL
    CRASHTREE no granularity specified
    CRASHTREE completed in 00:00:00.0156250
    Usage: XToMDL.exe /KEEP /NOGUI /BATCH /NOCRASH /BMP2DDS /XMLSAMPLE /XANIM /DICTictFileName /OUT:OutfileName Filename.X

    Thanx in advance

    Bernt

Is your model name (_temp.mdl) ? if so try and rename it temp.mdl without the _

Nope. Just checked. The name is do.mdl Really strange.
When I load the the invisible plane I do get the startup exhaust smoke and the red anticollision light on the tail (Both from the default C172 I assume.
Panel cfg etc all is there...

Thanx to Wozza the problem has been solved
It's in the true sense of the word an extremely 'tiny' problem.
You need to set the komma as . and not as , (as in the austrian language settings)
