    P-51 Display

Just testing video recording/compression out recently, and I seem to be able to get fairly decent FPS while recording with Fraps (around 20-25). Unfortunately it stutters a bit, but then that's Fraps for you...

Anyway, here's a recorded P-51 display in the Warbirdsim P-51 'Old Crow'. It could maybe be flown a little smoother, but as you may have seen, my TrackIR is playing up, so I had to fly with the hat switch, and it was semi-improvised.

Surprised there's no video threads around here, unless I'm missing something!

Hey Tweek, that is a really nice video, and excellent improvisation!

Nice flying! Those birds were beginning to scare me though!

By any chance Tweek, do you fly radio controlled aircraft also? Your video reminds of standing at the flight line at the flying field.

I've dabbled in the past but nothing too serious. However, this was flown from the VC, recorded, and played back with tower view.

Mind you, I can fly just as well from the tower view. It's a lot of fun once you get used to it, and it's a great way of seeing how aircraft fly from a spectator's point of view, and how different manouevres look from the ground.

It's probably a good job they weren't too close to the runway!
