There will be some tail lift when you catch a wire on a carrier, this was normal with tail draggers but you should not go over on to your nose, Seafires had their props shortened by approx 6 inches as so many were damaged by the tail lift effect.

    Bruce,

Nice repaint, was it based on Eagle?
Let me know if you have any snags with the paintkit, I made it after I'd done my repaints so I'm not 100% sure if it works!!

    Skippy

Edit/ So if I read posts on our own forum I'd know it was based on Furious!!

Well worth a read is War in a Stringbag by Charles Lamb telling of his wartime exploits in a Swordfish.

    Regards,
    Ian.

The string bag book I have read is 'I sank the Bismacrk'

Brilliant book that deals with the Stringbag during the whole war and one pilots career, who it was found was the chap who managed to whack the torp into the Bismarck.

Downloading in a moment cant wait to fly this in FSX :ernae:

Oh, some of us folks on the 'wrong' side of the pond know about the Stringbags.
Their exploits were featured in one of the favorite "Dogfights" episodes.
The "Sink The Bismarck" episode is probably one of the best, for both Sea and Air battle re-creations.

For those folks that like to watch instead of read:
