    Just Guessing...

    "... Anyone else having problems with the Zep in MB? It tends to just spin out of control and crash for me..."

    RC, this sounds like the AI control issues that CFS2 has with some larger (or more complex) aircraft.

    Try going into the Aircraft.cfg file and lowering the numbers shown in RED below by Half (your original numbers may be different, but the idea's the same):

    ---------------------------------------------------------------
    ;Moments of Inertia
    empty_weight_roll_MOI = 217421.29 //slug-ft^2
    empty_weight_pitch_MOI = 187288.65 //slug-ft^2
    empty_weight_yaw_MOI = 343138.88 //slug-ft^2

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Make a copy of your original CFG file First, RC - no sense dancing on razors this weekend - and let's see if things improve for you...

    Is this of any use? It's Cardington Airship Station for FS2004 by John McKeon. It works in CFS 2 except for some missing library objects. The R101 is in one of the hangars.

    wow, i had forgotten about that. great find. I think those will work great, are the missing objects essential? maybe we can subsitute for them.

    Sorry for digging up old thread everybody, but does anybody still have the L-44? I tried both filefront links many times, and both of them doesn't seem to work anymore.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello R66C, I missed this one first time around also. Maybe one of the fellas will oblige us with the files?

    The aerocrate site is still working, but no Zepplins there.

    Ok, I sent an e-mail to Gary himself. Let's hope he still got the archives. I'll post later if I'll get an answer.

    The L-63 for FS2004 by Alexander Belov at AVSIM is a very nice one as well.

    Alexander Belov has a few other goodies for FS2004 which work in CFS 2: airship stations at Karachi, Ismailia (Egypt), Cardington (England), St-Hubert (Canada), Tondern (Germany), as well as pre-war Aeropostale stations in France, West Africa, Canary Islands and Brazil.

    Kdriver,

    Unfortunately the zip file is corrupted and won't open - at least for me. Would you please give it one more try?

    Thanks
    Cheers,

    kdriver, thanks for this one! :ernae:
    Also, I had some problems on takeoff (prop stikes or even ground crashes). Corrected the contact points, and now it launches smooth and stable - just changed this:
    point.0=1, 15.50, 0.00, -12.30, 100, 0, 1.50, 42.7, 1.06, 2.5, 0.70, 6.0, 7.0, 0
    point.1=1, -1.50, -13.17, -12.00, 100, 1, 2.50, 0.0, 1.06, 2.5, 0.86, 7.5, 8.5, 2
    point.2=1, -1.50, 13.17, -12.00, 100, 2, 2.50, 0.0, 1.06, 2.5, 0.86, 7.0, 8.0, 3
    to this:
    point.0=1, 17.00, 0.00, -12.30, 100, 0, 1.50, 42.7, 1.06, 2.5, 0.70, 6.0, 7.0, 0
    point.1=1, -39.00, -13.17, -12.00, 100, 1, 2.50, 0.0, 1.06, 2.5, 0.86, 7.5, 8.5, 2
    point.2=1, -39.00, 13.17, -12.00, 100, 2, 2.50, 0.0, 1.06, 2.5, 0.86, 7.0, 8.0, 3
    Hope it will help somebody else.

    Thanks R66C for that modification.

    I forgot to mention Alexander Belov also made the British WW1 airship R23. There is also a weathered texture and a fantastic panel for the L-63 by Jojo Maes aka Slide. Both these airships need modifications to the contact points for CFS2.

    Here's the L-44 again.

    Merry Xmas Everyone!

    No joy, 6 downloads of the first post and 7 of the second - none are good. It keeps showing that it is part of a multi part zip file and needs second part to open. An occasional bad download is possible but I wouldn't think it would happen over and over - it's consistent.
    Cheers,

    Thats curious I've tested both links and they work for me.

    By the way, just curious, L-44 belongs to "Height Climbers", as the RFC pilots called them, or "Super Zeppelins Class" ("s" type)? I'd tried to find it by myself, but no exact info on that found.
