:ernae: WHAT A TRIP! Thanks!
Many of those old planes are still worth having and are available from the regular d/l sites. C.M. Carlson's OS2U Kingfisher was one of my first add-on planes, also Kirk's A5M4 Claude and the various VB and BR2 planes. I'm sure a few folks here remember when CFS2 first came out, you had to use CFS1 planes for some of the not-so-well-known types because nobody had made new CFS2 versions yet.
Just looking at the Spits, the Rebuffats are there and Morton has just given us some fantastic new skins for those.
A lot of others still stand up well. Remember it was only this year that Bismarck gave us a magnificent new Beaufighter to replace the still satisfactory Muir example.
........I still think Alain L'Homme's SPIT pilot was the best until AH:ernae:
......( a few of us will remember the machines with a VC that had you sitting atop of the canopy, with a 360 looking at your wings and nose. and prop, great to have those transition from CFS1 to CFS2 machines for that alone hehehehe)
by the way i must mention John Cooper, if he hadn't made his spit IX source file open for everyone then PR and KEN-YAS(after there own admissions) might not have taken up the challenge and given us great machines

We still need a PZL P.50 aircraft...
Hi Egypt, At one time you were doing an early Wirraway skin[Spring 42]. Did you ever finsh it?

.......hey BLONDI see PM
Wow, I still have some of those on CDs somewhere as backups. I cannot believe we have been doing this for so long and still going strong!
If only M$ would release the code to some of our better computer software officianados! CFS2 could be even better. But alas, M$ and companies like them do not release even their old, no longer used codes because they want us to buy their new and improved(?) versions of stuff.
And even I still remember bringing over CFS planes to compliment the limited CFS2 planes, and my memory is somewhat suspect at times!

Hehe, I think we'd all be surprised if we could dissect CFS2 and FSX like in Biology class and find out how many components are common to both sims. Which is probably why M$ won't release the code for any of their FS products. Heck, I'd be happy if they'd just throw us a bone or two for CFS2, like guided missiles or AI defensive guns for player aircraft. I remember when I tried the demo version of IL-2, I was surprised when my rear gunner suddenly opened up on a Me-109 that was rolling in on us. I'm thinking, hey, how'd I do that? I've always thought that was a feature that CFS2 should've had right from the start.
