It's not as exciting as the F-86, but Alphasim's freeware Cessna 170 is a satisfying aircraft, and a good crosswind landing challenge. The VC and gauges are good, as you can see.

Enjoy!:salute:
I wonder who stood model for the driver?

for the Capt Sim (payware) Mig21, removes the modelled afturburner and replaces it with something a little more realistic..not that I've ever seen a real Mig21 in action...

Hi Guys - just found this by accident. Okay, it's the old International (VTBD), but in one word - OUTSTANDNG! I've seen less quality in payware sceneries:
"Welcome to Thai Flight Simulator! Here you will find "Don Muang 2010", the most updated ... yet the best Don Muang Internation Airport ever created for the world of Microsoft Flight Simulator (version 2004)!
Don Muang 2010 is absolutely a freeware for members. All you have to do is registering yourself to the Thai Flight Simulator (again, it's free of charge!), get back to this thread, download the scenery, install it, and enjoy a new glamorous look of Don Muang International Airport by Prasong. Don Muang Int'l Airport is probably the oldest airport (over 90 years!) in this country, and it is still use by various groups of aviators, both government and private sectors. So basically, this is how we keep the legend alive in MSFS 2004
Even though it is a freeware scenery, the author is also very welcome if you "downloaders" will take part of being proud members of Thai Flight Simulator by donating to Thai Flight Simulator Funds. The funds is mainly used for paying the server fee (bandwidth, etc.). Donation can be made via bank accounts (well, if you are here in Thailand), or you can donate via PayPal! Our Thai Flight Simulator Funds' PayPal address is thaiflight@gmail.com."

Believe me - the above screen does not do it justice...
Registration is required but it's free, simple (I can't read Thai!) and instant. And it's worth it !
(You will need the update in the 4shared link above). No noticable hit on framerates. And I do believe that's a golf course between the runways...

Try this - you won't regret it.

Still one of my favourite 'rides'; Attachment 18975
free from FSD-International ----> http://www.fsd-international.com/Dow...lesinstall.htm
Note: 'Vista' users will find the RealityXP gauges won't work, so you'll have to swap 'em out
for something else...its a 'bug' which Reality XP haven't fixed.

The C17 is free...
FSD also has a freeware T-38 package. I downloaded it from Simviation.com.

I have both; felt kind robbed about the payware one. Bought it thinking the C-17 was still part of the package. It wasn't.

I didn't realise Swiss Military Bastion had become payware!
I had the early freeware release...glad it's back (it's also available at Hovercontrol).
Piggybacking on this: the AW139, arguably the best FS9 helicopter out there.
For some reason it didn't make it into this thread, get it from Hovercontrol
http://www.hovercontrol.com/cgi-bin/...pter_Downloads
The SMB readme has a typo: the 3 bases are
LSFB.bgl
LSJB.bgl
LSCB.bgl
I had no idea that the Things-To-Come products had been released for free!
