    MAW version

    Hi Mathias

From what I have in my files this is not the v1.30 but it should be the final so called "one-shoot" v1.31.

Cheers :ernae: and many thanks for the uploading

Mathias, thanks for providing a download location for MAW. I haven't seen your logon in the CFS3 forums here in quite a while. Are you returning to the addon development side of CFS3 (or did you ever stop)?

I've downloaded your work in the past and it would be nice to see more in the future. Thanks.

    Thanks everyone.
Can the links be made sticky?

    Need some help

    Hi
Need a little help. I could not get MAW to run at all
Main set up was fine, but when I tried to install first missions it only got to about 4% and said there was a bad file with a BF110?
Also where do all the other big files go? I am at a loss about them,
Tried to follow the instructions but must have done something out of order.
Can you help in this area also.

    Thanks

Started with a clean install of cfs3 with the updates installed

Handycapper, put all files into the same temporary folder inclusive the extracted zip file and run the exe as advertized in the readme doc.
It should install the complete shadderack, no need to install any missions or something separately.

Tried to install this on my nephew's PC earlier tonight, but couldn't get it to install? Bit of a red faced moment for me, seeing as I worked on it, and had been building him up to it! My own install was a MAW team (in-house) download, so I have never downloaded it from the MAW site!
    Any ideas??

This is the error I'm getting!

    Hello John

I remember that the install problem regarding the Bf110 texture was reported several times in various posts on Netwings MAW forum and it seem that it was related to a corrupted download.
I don't remember if someone got the solution and unfortunately we can no long searching that forum so I can only repeat my offer to burn a dvd with my install files and send it to You if You want or I can search that file and send You it by e-mail.

Cheers :ernae: and have always good flying

    Hello Deep Fryer

First of all welcome to this forum which I think is the best one for what concerns CFS3 then here are the link from where You can d/l two expansions regarding the European and the Pacific theatre of operation (BTW both will be updated toward fall/winter of this year)

    http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?a...ads&showcat=10

(note that You have not to use this link directly but copy it and after signing off from SOH paste it in the address bar of your browser)
Other great expansion (my favourite) is MAW wich give You the possibility to fly over the immense north african desert, the Mediterranean Sea, southern Italy and the Balkans and You can find the links just in the first post of this thread.
Two other expansions exist but one is no longer available, it's OFF-P2, "Over Flanders Fields - Phase 2" regarding the air combat in WW1, that was retired from the d/l as the development team made a new release (OFF-P3) which is not yet freeware but payware and one is not available at the moment but probably it will be re-released in the next future and concerns the air war in Korea.
Every expansion comes with new scenarios, new aircrafts, new effects and new missions, moreover here on SOH d/l section You will find other missions, repainted aircrafts etc. etc. able to satysfy almost all your needs.
Take your time and give a chance to all this stuff You will discover a new world.

Cheers :ernae: and have always good flying.
    Cristiano "Astore"

P.S. Remember that for the install of all the expansions You need to have a clean (off the cd /dvd) CFS3 install patched to v3.1 and then v3.1a updates if not You will incurr in problems or You will not be able to make the expansions work.

Mathias, many thanks for making these files available.

I installed a clean CF3, updated to v3.1, and installed MAW per the instructions. It started to load OK, then I got the following error message :

    ImguiX
    image "alert/alert_base.bmp[1]" cannot be loaded

Anyone else have this issue and a fix? Thanks.

And no, I have not uninstalled everything and re-downloaded the files. I'm hoping it won't come to that.......

    Thanks in advance,

    Chris

nice to see flame isn't entirely extinguished here!

are the desert rats coming up from their holes again to resume operations i wonder - be great to see more work done on this brilliant expansion! its a classic - a real fun game when you get tired of il-2 (even a modded version) !

Hi, I'm new here and having the same problems Getti and Bravo/4 have.

Clicking the download links will bring a page full of ASCII like in the picture Getti attached. However, right click on the link and save as is working.

Anyhow, I tried installing MAW over a clean CFS 3.1a install and got the attached error.

Any idea what could it be?

    TIA,
    eliya

I tried downloading all of the files again and I'm still getting an error message during the installation. The error is similar to the previous error I posted, only that now it's a different file that's damaged.

    What can I do?

    Unhappy Problem

i have maw 1.31 installed. When i try " quick combat " i get a error message " an unkown error occured while generating the quick combat mission" " mission file failed to load"

all other parts of maw seem to work. Missions work nice. I have the spawn selected to legacy for " quick combat"

does anyone know why i get that error when i try the quick combat mode?

Choose "enemy fighter" first in quick combat. When flying intercept or escort, also choose "bomber" first.
