    ETO install

    Hi Cris

For every expansions You want to install (ETO, MAW, PTO, KTCS. OFF) You MUST start from a fully patched (v 3.1a) and clean CFS3 install, otherwise You will incurr in many problems.

Cheers :ernae: and have always good flying

CrisGer, what Critiano103 said, you simply must start with a clean vanilla (updated with 3.1 and 3.1a).

ETO was never tested with Firepower. ETO installed into FirePower may well cause problems. FirePower installed into ETO will ruin ETO.

The USAAF Heavy Bombers conversion for ETO only involves four folders from the aircraft folder of a FirePower install: B_17_Shared, b_17f, B_17G, and B_24J. They must be copied from the aircraft folders of the FirePower install into the aircraft folder of CFS3 ETO Expansion. You can install FirePower and use Martin Wright's MultiCFS3.exe (available here: http://www.mnwright.btinternet.co.uk/) to rename the FirePower install to keep it separate from stock CFS3 and ETO.

    I hope this helps.:d

OK, i just wanted to be sure. I knew we needed a clean install. I will start fresh, that was why i wanted to be sure. I had bought CFS3 in a jewel case versoin from Amazon and wanted to upgrade to a full game set with the manuals if that was appropriate. i like paper manuals and it looked like the original game box had one it it as it weights 2 lbs > i will be very careful about the installs. and firepower thanks Cristiano and Grizzly very much. yes your posts helped a lot.
