Actually, it sounds like a fancy name for a flashlight - sort of like a trash man is a "sanitation engineer".

Hope it works as well as they say - sounds pretty useful.

Most modern warplanes alraedy feature systems like that. They're really trying to hype up off the shelf SA aids. I'm a JSF fan right now, but I may not be if the cost keeps rising. It really doesn't do anything that revolutionary for what it's costing us to get it.
