OK just arrived home a short while ago and time for the big dance.

Downloads work as planned

DNS should be resolving to the new server for https://sim-outhouse.org but the site is not there and DNS might take 48 hours to propogate over the internet. SSL might be wrong I will activate it soon as I know DNS is further along. It has to be right or SSL doesn't work.

Now uploading the database. This is where my slow internet bites me.

upload of the database complete now we have to move a bunch of files.

Only 146,388 attachment files to transfer...

Luckily I have been updating the list for days. There will probably only be a few files that need transferred. Unfortunately it has to process all of them to get the few.

Then we do images...

No time frame but this takes hours normally.

We only just finished coping the attachment files off to my computer.

Now we copy the images folder

Once that is done we copy all of that to the new server.

Hours of coping left to go.

Now the attachments start to copy.

216,000+ files

Once that is done I can run the script to import the new forums.

Files are done copying and now we install the software.

Now the database is importing. This takes a few hours to complete.

That part went faster than I expected. It is finalizing now.

This part is done there is still a number of tasks to do. Standby while I do the Media Import.

It is running but now to fix all of the permissions. Let me put the first pot of coffee on and then I will get right on that.

Everything moving along nicely and then something broke with the server operating system. We seem to have lost our support token. Going to reboot and see fi that fixes it.

I opened a ticket with CWP. We are in standby mode until they contact me.

The extra IP for the main site somehow got picked up my the licensing server as the licensed IP Address. We are working on resolving that issue now. Luckily it was free I might have to remove it just to move forward.

OK it is mostly fixed but DNS has to populate again. I had to remove the extra IP Address it was causing issues.

We should be getting back on track in a few hours.

These things never go without some glitch. Last week my guys did a firewall migration. We're still suffering from residual problems.
