    Horten IX (Ho-229 V3) of Rara-Avis (preview)

Some called it “Bat Wing” - incoming to MSFS. New set of preview screenshots - night flying. This promises to be a great, historical addon .

I love it . looks promissing.

Definitely on my list. The texturing alone will make it worth the price.

I don't fly FS so much but I am waiting anxiously for this one!

From those screenshots, it looks like the only night lighting is a floodlight. Are there any instrument/panel lights to not be made night-blind by an overhead? Either way, this looks really awesome and I'll be picking it up!

Maybe the dev could be persuaded to install a red lightbulb?

Each gauge has a separate, own, luminescent light, you can also control its intensity.

A few more images of the Horten, shouldn't be long now until release.

With Lichtenstein radar too ? I wonder if the scope is modelled inside.

It's not modelled at the moment, but if you can provide me with some good images of the unit I can possibly incorporate it into a future update

As you've no doubt found out, there aren't many pictures of the scope itself, let alone how it would have fitted in the Horten's cockpit. Hopefully someone will come up with the images you need, but that VC is so beautiful, it would be a shame to spoil it with an imagined bodge-up. If in doubt, leave it out - for now. ;-)

Very much looking forward to the release of this aircraft.

The radar as modeled looks like a FuG 218 "Neptun" They use a single scope (SG 218) set up on the Me262 the display is quite small as seen on this rear panel of Me 262 B-1a/U1 Night Fighter

Translating the page it looks like next to the scope is a control device (BG 218)

Way down on this page is FW190 fitted with a FuG 217 "Neptun" but the cockpit display looks like SG 218

Also some more info. It doesn't say what aircraft this is about.

Great information there, Allen. Well done.

As an aside, I was in a pub in Cambridge some years ago, and got into a conversation with someone visiting Duxford's 'Flying Legends' airshow. His father had been a back-seater in the Me262 night fighter.

    Back on topic..
