    Hawker Hurricane R4175 Josef Frantisek

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FS 2004 Military skins - World War II

Description: This package contains a repaint for the freeware FS2004 Aeroplane Heaven Hawker Hurricane. The textures show the Hawker Hurricane R4175. This Spitfire was flown by the Czechoslovak Battle of Britain ace Josef Frantisek, who flew with No.303 Polish squadron RAF. The Hurricane Mk XIIa G-HURI from the Historic Aircraft Collection was painted in this scheme in August 2020 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

I wish to thank the guys from Aeroplane Heaven for making this very nice model, which was the perfect canvas for my repaints. And Martin Wright for his simple but indispensable graphic tools, as without his dtx1 bitmap manipulator these textures simply wouldn't be there.

    Enjoy,
    Huub

You're doing an exceptional job with those repaints Huub. Much better than what it came with. Colors and markings spot on.

Thanks for the kind words Snurdley. I though these older Aeroplane Heaven/JustFlight models deserved better textures, than their original ones. As the models are actually quite nice.

Originally I only had some repaints planned for the early versions, with the two bladed propellers. But once I had a basic paintkit finished, it wasn't too much work to change these so they would fit the later marks.

    Cheers,
    Huub
