    RAF Croydon for FS9

London's original airport. A RFC airfield in WW1, and the only international airport in the UK during the interwar period, and the base for the
first British national airline, Imperial airways and the starting point for European and international routes to Africa,India and Australia.
It was from Croydon that Amy Johnson started her 1930 solo flight to Australia and was the finishing point for Charles Lindbergh's
transatlantic flight in the "Spirit of st Louis".
An important Battle of Britain airfield, alongside its close neighbors Kenley and Biggin Hill, Croydon was heavily attacked on 15 August resulting in much
damage to the control building and hangar's. Restored too its pre war art deco glory, Croydon ended commercial aviation in 1959 with the opening of Heathrow.

Ive kept the WW2 objects to a minimum, and can be removed by removing the "Croydon WW2.bgl" should you want to return the airfield to purely civilian era.
By summer 1940, camouflage was applied and draped with camo netting, but i like the look of the original texture's, so ive gone with them

    You will need--
Ted Andrews RAF building library.zip. found in the SOH library
You should have also installed a few if not all of my recent Bomber command airfield's which will
give you a few extra obs

Alternative ground poly for GW user's is included.

There's a traffic file using Spits by Gary Burns from his BoB airfields from way back,
ive included the aircraft, so just unzip into your aircraft folder and your good to go

Thanks to Gary for the Spit, and Shessi for his figure's and vehicles

Very nice there Ian, many thanks.

Never visited Croydon visitor centre, but been to Shoreham quite a few times, which is similar, very original and beautifully Deco.

    Cheers
