Got Friends have updated their DC-3 offering with a JATO for the DC-3. Speedy! Seems to work..

In the absence on any documentation on this, the following on JATO in the DC3 might be helpful, copied from www.douglasdc3.com....

"For TOs, we would set flaps, hold the brakes, apply full power briefly then release. You would hit the JATO button at 45 mph. The JATO lasted for 15 seconds, but you had pretty good speed and altitude (obstacle criteria) by then."
