    Takketakketakketak..... for those who have seen the movie

    Guys,
    I have attached the textures for the AI Spitfire to this post. As I intend to do some more, I will do a larger upload to the library ,once I made up my mind, and decided which repaints I want to include

    You can use the attached textures is different ways;

    • You can drop the contents from the texture.KLL folder into the texture.DWN folder in the AI_SpitfireMKI subfolder inside your aircraft folder. As the traffic file made by Ian calls fro the textures.DWN the alternative textures will show up.
    • You can insert the complete texture.KLL folder inside your AI_SpitfireMKI subfolder inside your aircraft folder, and create a new traffic file for the model with these textures.
    • Or you can insert the complete texture.KLL folder inside your AI_SpitfireMKI subfolder inside your aircraft folder, and wait until Ian creates a new traffic file for the model with these textures.

    Due to some limitation of the model, the repaint has some shortcomings. The textures do not cover the complete radiators. Hard to notice, but I still wanted to mention. When Gary did these models I don't think he had the White & Night scheme in mind. Because a more visible problem is that both wheel covers are white. And finally there is no way to paint the pitot tube. So it is Sky instead of black. But, it is free and from a distance I think it looks quite nice!
    (The one in the rear at the above screenshot is the AI Spitfire)

    And to Ian; GW is absolutely the best way to fly FS2004

    Enjoy,
    Huub

    Ive gone for option 3, one traffic file for you all, Thanks Huub, they look very fine, and thanks for paying attention to pre BOB scheme's. there's quite a few repaints out there in our , and other library's, but you've cover'd a much overlooked era, and they do look very attractive

More than that, it’s for an AI model and repaints for those are very few and far between, especially for Gary’s model, although I have just found Gary’s FS9 sceneries with AI for Croydon, Hawkinge and Biggin Hill – all in 1940 – over at Flightsim.com.

    I don’t know this AI Spitfire. Where can I find it? I thought the Spitfire John Young made for his very first AI package was the only one.

    Send from mobile hence short

    Hi Martin, you'll find it in most of Gary's airfield downloads, and i included it in my Hornchurch zip. I did try to use John's model, but for some reason, couldn't get it to play ball, Garys is quite old but still looks pretty sharp today

    Thank you, Ian.

    You create very beautiful things! Maybe you would like to announce such sceneries over at MAIW? There are a lot of people there who will love your work and might just miss it.

    Cheers
