Probably a daft question, but are the old Groundcrew 2048 texture settings still relevant now that our graphics cards are way better these days?

Yep, the main points still stand. You need the max dimensions in the Texture Info screen to be at least that high, and the Texture Limits set to zero on the instructed values. Everything else, experiment freely.
I just use the 1024s for AIs and have all player ac at 2048.

Yep, I still use these settings as the basis for my settings. You can probably set everything on the texture limits page to 0. This prevents CFS3 from limiting any of the texture sizes.
Thanks Daniel, that did seem to improve things a bit, low down.
I also maxed out all in the Texture info section but that messed the water up, I reset those particular ones back to half way and all seems well again. 👍
