    Henschel 123

Would anyone know of a Henschel 123 that would work in P3DV4.5? I was able to find a FSX version but it doesn't work.

    Thanks,

    Rob

The one you tried is for FS2004 and the model needs conversion and certainly the panel too. Don't know if anyone has done that.

As an alternative I could recommend the HE-51 https://www.rikoooo.com/downloads/viewdownload/52/1011

It's also availabe from other sites.

P.S. You can always check the model folder for compatibility. There need to be two .mdl files, an external and internal model. In earlier sims, this was in one file together. If you have two, it will run fine, if it's converted correctly.

    Thanks Dan,

I have the HE-51 that works great. I figured out that the Henschel-123 was a FS2004 model but was hoping someone had converted it to P3D.

    Thanks,

    Rob

Which HS-123 model are you looking at?
I can check on how easy it would be to convert.

Good Morning, sorry for my late reply.

I think the one at flightsim.com is the one i"m referring to.

    https://www.flightsim.com/files/file...pdated-panels/

I was looking for the original that was done by A.F. Scrub but couldn't find it.

    Thanks,

    Rob

The original base file by AFS is "henschel_hs123.zip" at Flightsim.com - you want the file dated Nov 14,2012.

    Don't forget AFS' fix as well - "henschel_hs_123_gauges_fix.zip" dated Nov 15, 2012.

I looked at the HS-123 by A.F. Scrubs.
It is an FS2004 model so won't display in P3D v4 (or higher) without conversion.

I will check out how easy it will be to do the conversion.

    Perhaps of interest: https://topflightsimulation.yolasite...creenshots.php

    can be purchased here: https://www.razbamsimulationsllc.com...enschel-hs-123

by SOH's very own Chris Herring (NCGent)

Looks to be FSX compatible, at least by the posted screenies...

    Cheers!

Initial testing says it is a fairly simple conversion.

I have the external model and the VC working in P3D V4, haven't done extensive testing or checked the gauges yet.

    Thank you Gavin,

The HE-51 and the HS-123 are one of my favorite aircraft. I really enjoy the vintage props for low/slow flying.

    Thanks again,

    Rob

    Work in progress

    Making some progress.
Most of the gauges seem to work. There is a starter that is part of a .gau gauge file. This will not work in P3D so I need to go on a search for an appropriate replacement.

Here it is flying over Spain in P3D

Wow, amazing, thank you! Where in Spain are you flying, like the scenery.

The location is Ibiza (with ORBX Europe LC & Global textures + Freemesh).

I think I figured out the starter and have some enhanced sounds for it.
Just need to contact A. F. Scrubs and make sure he (I assume he's a he) is ok with me releasing the conversion.

    Conversion uploaded

I got permission to release the conversion.
It is a fairly basic conversion to native FSX format. I have tested it and it works fine in P3Dv4.5 (should also work in V5 as the gauges are all 64 bit).
The sound files are updated to more accurately reflect the BMW engine.

No bump maps or specular texturing as the original textures are pretty basic.

    Hope you enjoy.

    Gavin,

Thank you very much. Look forward to downloading/flying when it becomes available. I appreciate all of the hard work that went into the conversion.
