Could someone tell me the difference between PANEL and PANEL.1? The aircraft using panel.1 have double the frame rate (100-111fps) when using the 2D panel for PANEL.1 then the aircraft that use PANEL (34 to 46fps).

    Hi Browncoat,

I can't notice any difference in FPS between the 2 but you can copy the panel.cfg file from Panel.1 folder to the Panel folder and see if it makes any difference.

    Howdy Aussie,

Thanks for the reply. I’ll give that a shot, and take a closer look at the configs. It is the oddest thing to me.

    Howdy Aussie,

That seems to have done the trick. The frame rate using PANEL is the same as PANEL.1, around 94-111 FPS. When I took a look at the config files, I did notice differences between the two. PANEL would have render 3D window=0, where as PANEL.1 has render 3d window=1, the window size ratios between the two were also different with PANEL having 1.0, and PANEL.1 having 1.7778 or 1.333.

    Hey Browncoat,

Thanks for reporting back about it. I wasn't sure if the release version was the same version as I have so I thought just copying the panel.cfg was the best option. Amazing how much difference the render 3D window option makes.

    Cheers

    Browncoat,

Almost sounds like a widescreen version, at least the way I'm reading it?
