    Any good CH-53 for P3D?

    Hi everybody,

I am wondering if there is any good CH-53 for P3D (at least a FSX native version)? I own the Nemetz CH-53 Super Stallion, but it comes with additional big tanks and its not the version the german army own those days.
So I found the Virtavia CH-53 but it seems it is only a FS2004 legacy model which was not developped as FSX native.
    Best regards, Manfred.

I have the Virtavia CH-53 working in P3Dv4 and i am a 100% sure i purchased it in a working condition

The Simmarket description also talks about a full FSX model being included

Seems to be the same as at Simmarket and also features full FSX model. If you search Sea Stallion, you'll find two more variants from Virtavia and Nemeth.

    Thank you, guys.

@Randy: So you are sure, it is a native FSX model / comes with both versions, FS9 and FSX?
May I ask if this version comes with two seperate mdls inside the model folders, one for exteriour and one for interiour? Only in this case, the helicopter is also usable in P3D.
I am very scaptical when a product is advertised with FS9 and FSX at once. Usually, you have a FS2004 model which is easy loadable in FSX but not in P3D.

In case it is a native FSX model (both mdl files like mentioned above...), my search is over. I would appricate Dan's discovery for sure...
    Best regards, Manfred.

All of these versions (Virtavia and ND) work very well in P3D 4.5. Use them by myself and did many changes to those helicopters to other different versions, even the CH-53 Yasur from IDF.
And one thing beside... Germany also uses the new version with the 2 tanks on side today. (CH-53 GS and CH-53 GA)

    Will post some pictures tonight.

The only thing i don`t like is the startup. I have to start another helicopter first... then i had to choose the CH-53 and then i can start it by the autostart button in 2D panels. (even the "cold and dark" does work only after starting another helicopter first. Never find out what the reason is.)

    Greetings

    Done.

Thank you all again for help!

Really satisfied with it, appearance and sound superb, especially for that old model (FS2004).

There is only one thing: After landing, I can't get the engine stopped, neither by "ctrl+T" (my key-setting) nor some options inside the cockpit. Fuel cut and switching off the bat switch don't help....
    Best regards, Manfred.

    Hi Rob,

it is ETMN Nordholz I did customize for my own use with a lot of library objects (ca 12 different libraries I think...) on a photo ground.
    Best regards, Manfred.

    @Klaus and Rob:

It is a little difficult as mentioned above. The scenery consists of a ground poly (which is halfway easy to create with FSEarth Tiles and any photoshop tool).
But to get all model stuff inside, you need a lot of model libraries.
First of all, after setting the ground, I use your already great ETMN scenery, Klaus. I had to correct the taxi paths a litte to match the ground.
So furthermore, I set a mix of certainly over 200 different models out of all sceneries I own.

    - MAIW package
    - RAF Culdrose
    - ETMN, ETNT from Klaus
    - EBFS Florennes
    - German Airfields 1-3 (payware from Aerosoft)
    - EDLP Paderborn (payware from Aerosoft)
    - ETUR RAF Brüggen
    - RAF Lakenheath for FSX (not P3D because the included fantastic 3D trees from Pete Beeby are only included in the FSX version)
    - Scotflight libraries

and many default scenery objects. Once opened P3D - Sim Director, I simply use any objects I could grab inside the scenery list.

But I am sure, you guys can get same or even better results using these both tools: FSEarth Tiles and any picture editing programme (like Photoshop or Gimp (free)).
Using P3D Sim Director, you are able to position any object on the ground almost without limitation. Once done successfully, you will not create sceneries in another way. Only limitation: No seasons.
You don't need much time to learn the skills, only time investment is placing the objects, depending on how many details you want.

I use this for sceneries which are really interesting to fly to for more than one time, but not that interesting to recreate each building or object from scratch like RAF Brüggen or RAF Gütersloh.

But although all objects are library objects, the sceneries are very good recognizable. Hope this helps.

The overview of the Nordholz-Scenery - maybe take the pics as motivation, it is a lot of fun to creat this:

    Best regards, Manfred.

Thanks for all this. I think i must lear how to do this groundphotos. Never did that on my own.

But some things i can do (shure... just for myself because not my work ...).

Just tranfer RAF Gütersloh into P3D 4.5. Not perfect at all...some things to change.

Little flying arround with german CH-53 GS

Missed this one in my P3D world.

    That looks pretty cool, Klaus.
That reminds me to continue my long WIP on that project:

Because this was (is) my own project, I decided to create a complete ground by myself same as RAF Brüggen to make 5 seasons possible. Maybe I will go on with this project near future...
    Best regards, Manfred.

That would be very nice.... the transfer from FS9 to PD3 isn`t realy as nice as your new one
