Pilots has gone dark after their teaser back in June 2021 on their 314. I know the dev "team" is one very motivated individual, he hasn't posted on the Avsim 314 support forum since May, and that was after RL kept him from being able to do much work on it for 2 months, and that's for the P3D version.
So, unless someone else grabs it and does it, we might be waiting a while for the one we know will be coming eventually....

The full list of aircraft in the 40th Anniversary and their developers. As far as I know, we don't have any confirmation on who is doing the Wright Flyer, Jenny and Spruce Goose yet.

    Historical Aircraft:

    • Wright Flyer
    • Ryan NYP (“Spirit of St. Louis”) = BlueMesh
    • Douglas DC-3 = Aeroplane Heaven
    • De Havilland Canada DHC-2-Beaver = Blackbird Simulations
    • Curtis Jenny
    • Grumman Goose = iniBuilds
    • Hughes H4 Hercules

    Helicopters:

    • Bell-407 = Nemeth
    • Guimbal Cabri G2 = Asobo

    Gliders:

    • DG Flugzeugbau LG8-18 = FSimStudios/(Asobo?)
    • DG Flugzeugbau DG1001E neo = FSimStudios/(Asobo?)

    Airliner:

    • Airbus A310 = iniBuilds

Thanks for the HU ak416 ! Enjoyed that !

It seems, like the (aluminium) Goose and A310, the Jenny is also being developed by Inibuilds. Some nice screenies of the Goose and Jenny here : https://forum.inibuilds.com/topic/54...n-g-21a-goose/

    Likewise for the A310 : https://forum.inibuilds.com/topic/51...ght-simulator/

Excellent, thanks so much for sharing this. They sure have been keeping themselves busy, eh?

I only own one product from them and that's scenery (58CA Hooper), but their aircraft seem to have good reviews. Is anyone here familiar with their work?

I agree the 314 would be a better addition than the H4, but then they would not have been able to show off the new 'more than four engine' feature.

SimWorks Studios are doing a DHC Dash 7 in collaboration with Pilots, and progress is brisk by the look of it. Maybe all Pilots development time is focused on that, at the moment.

It would be great to have a reproduction of Howard Hughes at the controls of the H4 Hercules. I noticed an improved water spray effect in reveal. Interesting. Nice to see because of so many seaplanes being introduced. The Wright Flyer will make for some fun screen shots in... Antartica. Milviz Beaver, right? j
Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken.

  9. #34
Yes, MilViz is doing the Beaver, they recently showed some (very low FPS) footage of it on one of their streams

Curtiss JN4 Jenny from the non-profit organization "Friends of Jenny" in Bowling Green Kentucky. Interview is with C. Dorian Walker, JN4 Aviator "Friends of Jenny" Chair, Board of Directors. The event was the Tenth WWI Dawn Patrol Rendezvous 2016 at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.

With close to a dozen flyable Curtiss Jenny's and Canucks, original and reproduction, there are a number of airports where they are based at today that we could definitely use some new scenery for in MSFS, including:

    - CA34 Ala Doble Airport, in California (private airfield for Walter Bowe's collection)
    - C77 Poplar Grove Airport, in Illinois (home to the Poplar Grove Vintage Wings and Wheels Museum)
    - 42VA Virginia Beach Airport, in Virginia (home to the Military Aviation Museum)
    - KGDB Granite Falls Airport, in Minnesota (home to Fagen Fighters WWII Museum)
    - 8N1 Grimes Airport in Bethel, Pennsylvania (home to the Golden Age Air Museum)
    - 85TE Old Kingsbury Aerodrome in Texas (home to the Pioneer Flight Museum)
    - NY94 Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome in New York (home to the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome Museum)
    - KRKD Knox County Regional Airport in Maine (home to the Owls Head Transportation Museum)

There are some freeware addons already available for the following airports:

    - 4S2 Ken Jernstedt Airfield, in Oregon (home to the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum)
    - KBWG Bowling Green Regional Airport, in Kentucky (home to Friends of Jenny)
    - KPAE Paine Field-Snohomish County Airport, in Washington (home to the Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum, to reopen next year)

I noticed the paint scheme shown on the new MSFS iniBuilds Curtiss Jenny is a depiction of the original, unrestored example that is displayed at The Smithsonian.
