Let's make Luftwaffe scenery more interesting!

Is one of the people here savvy with making scenery people? Ground crew figures are sorely missed in the scenery that is available!

Cees, there is a freeware package I got on flightsim dot come (3d_People) around a hundred different models (adults and kids) in numerous poses and there are some that appear to be ground crew. Not sure if those would work but even if they don't you'll have nice 3D models to use for other scenery projects.
I can send you the package if you want to give it a try.

Ed, I know that package, I have it. No luftwaffe grondcrew in there. I could decompile it and adapt several models, but that's a road I don't want to take.

Have a look at Wolfgang's Japanese pilot, it is an FSDS2 source file that comes with a spare interchangeable head to make it European. He made it with Poser (7?) and converted it into an FSDS file. Might want to try Poser and possibly reach out to Wolfi about how he did it. FSDeveloper might be somewhere to ask too?

I gave him a quick and dirty RAF makeover to use in the Miles Master CFS2 conversion I did more years ago than I care to remember.....

It is also well set up for posing due to parent/child parts and correct rotational datums.

I couldn't resist to try to adapt the library Ed mentioned. Gave the guys a cap, changed the color of the overall, et voilá!<br><br><br><br><img src="images/smilies/biggrin-new.png" border="0" alt="" title="Biggrin New" smilieid="61" class="inlineimg"><br><br>Cees

Very nice, this pilot! And I can make a German pilot only with a few changes! Great!

    Hi Cees,
Been sitting on these for a while, and this post got me to finish them. They're not the best, but still quite good and perfectly usable, and they can be used in all sims as low polys. Yes, texs could be tweaked, if someone wishes to. I converted/imported them from IL-2 and there are quite a few others that are better quality...so maybe in the future. In the mean time have a play with these.

    Cheers

    Shessi

ps. If you didn't see I converted all of Edmundo Abads military vehicles over, and there are a lot of LW vehicles included...

    Hi Shessi,

Yes, I use your vehicles in the sceneries, I even have animated a few tanks, a kubelwagen and a motorcycle crew to drive up and down the airfield! I thought there was a link to the people you posted here, but it seems you posted two links to the same file! The vehicles I already have! Where can I get these human figures?

This is what I have made this weekend: six different figures. I gave them a cap and a badge and two colors for their uniforms. Two bomb trolleys with two different bombs.
