Note to YoYo - next time use even more smilie faces

Note to self - stop trying to suggest release dates based on Hallmark holidays (or even real ones)

Note to AH - Thanks for building a Chippie for MSFS

one small question: there was talk of a plain texture (paintkit) on your website, but where can I find that?
You can find most of my repaints for FSX/P3D in the library here on the outhouse.
For MFS paints go to flightsim.to

Finally I have it! 3 cents from my side:

1/ sounds external are really nice, but inside I see something like loop (between sound of RPM), a little annoying,
2/ if you will use custom view (saved view), you will see a doctor and you will get new face because you will go inside of pilot (2D and VR view), need a fix (Anthony from Ants airplanes know how to solve it, he had similar problem in his drifter, finally solved in one patch)

3/ in VR view zoom doesnt work, normally is right mouse click and hold, this wasnt implemented but its in SDK

But its very nice model and definitely worth it.

Vi9ews were OK in testing. You can also remove pilots by reducing their weights to 0 in the payload dropdown of the sim. Add payload weight if you wish to compensate.

Sorry, custom view has a problem still in VR and 2D image too. Default pilot view is too close of front panel for me, so I had to save custom MSFS view (you can check how it works during next beta tests https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t...gnments/171116 ).

If you set up 0 lb (or about) the new issue arrives here (which is even worse )- no pilot on external view, so Custom view have an issue. Pls ask Anthony how he solved it in his Drifter (if you have questions). The Pilots face and body is hidden automatically, and it also works like this in every default model of MSFS.

190lb (pilot body is visible in virtual cockpit too, you are "in"):

With "cheat" Zero lb (ok, no pilot body inside but... outside too) :

    So its an issue.

A small patch will be coming this week. I will include the plain texture in that. Sorry, omission on my part.

The plane is beautiful and a pleasure to fly Bazzar - thanks
Can you say if the flaps handle movement will be reversed (full forward should be 'flaps retracted' then pull the handle back for actuation)

from the AOPA website "On the right, a lever similar to the brake handle is used to operate the flaps. Lift it to the first notch for 15 degrees and to the second and final notch for 30 degrees."
I expect that 'lift' in this case means 'pull' and not push

about halfway down the page here

The flap handle movement is correct. If you take a look in the Pilot's Handbook provided (in the Documentation folder) you should see it there.

Thanks for the quick reply - I'll review the dox in the package folder then.

You may wish to check again the manual you provided. Section 17 ("Flaps control") states that flaps are UP when the lever is fully forward, and the flaps are at 30 degrees when the lever is aft. Your lever animation indeed is reversed. Also, the engine sounds (as heard from the cockpit), appear to be too high pitched. There are some good comments on some YouTube reviews from real-life Chipmunk pilots regarding maximum RPM, and the engine sound inside the cockpit. Otherwise, a very enjoyable model to fly, with a nicely-balanced flight dynamic.

Sorry, it isnt the true. The operation of lever for flaps is reversed (labels too, as few people noticed it before). No info about this postion in official vintage manual:

Here is picture with labels UP - forward, DOWN - backward.

    The same plane (cockpit, outside):
    a/ https://ipms.nl/images/foto-specials...hipmunk-19.JPG
    b/ https://ipms.nl/images/foto-specials...hipmunk-15.JPG

    The model:

Also, you can notice it in video (6:30) of IRL checklist, lever is forward = means flaps are up. He has flaps on 0 position (medium is 15, full backward 30 degress), 3 positions only, so it doesnt work up and down too. In the model is reversed.

btw. from Xplane DHC-1 manual, here the same: http://www.khamsin.org/dhc1/manual/I...kpit_right.jpg . The pilot just pushes a little lever forward (with spring) to unlock the big one (release) so maybe someone got it wrong.

So hard to tell me about your sources here, why is reversed. Hope it helps to solve it.

I tryied to solve custom view issue myself using NodesToHide ="XMLVAR_PilotHidden" but it doesnt work here. Looks like a bigger problem and pilot is hard coded? This line doesnt solve the issue and the face is still present . I hope it will be solved, some people use custom view position in MSFS.

I cant find click spot for parking brake, see the same problem on left fuel gauge (it shows zero always) and fuel lever is operating only to half a scale (not to the end, to on):

However no any problem to start Chipmunk from cold and dark (and battery is fine for me in CIV and MIL version).

The model is really beauty! The propeller animation was done very well too.
