    Thanks Aussie.

The problem is Lindsay didn't want his work on this website.

    Hi Kevin,

I’ve been in contact with Lindsay and he really doesn’t care if his files get uploaded here. To him it’s more about keeping Chris’s memory alive.

    Hi Aussie,

    That's good news.

Chris's interactive maps on his website would be nice to preserve. I wonder if his videos can be retrieved as well.

    Cheers,

    Kevin

I’ll take a look at the interactive map and see if I can transfer it into something that we can upload

I’ve finished the interactive maps but there’s no videos on the site, they’ve been uploaded to his YouTube channel, I’ll provide a link tomorrow when I finish work so the maps can be uploaded.

    cheers 🍻

Here's the link to download Chris's interactive maps if an admin or moderator wants to upload it. It runs offline so just extract it to a new folder

Thanks aussie - got them now. Well done!

I'll add the scenery galleries to the MR info tools download.

    Cheers,
    Kevin

    Hi Kevin,

The hyperlinks are the names of the bases not the red dots. Not all of them have them either, Australia doesn't Dutch East Indies does if the page doesn't have this : (click airfield name to view image) visible it doesn't contain any. Everything works offline that should my end

    Cheers

    Hi aussie,

I no sooner wrote my last post, when I discovered that. I'll put a note to that effect with the download.

Initially I was clicking on names which didn't have an associated picture, so I tried clicking on the dots to no avail. All is well - thanks very much aussie for doing this.

I've just updated MR_infotools_2200.zip with aussie's extracted scenery galleries from MR's website.

The download is in both the MaskRider Legacy section and the Utilities section.

    Hi,
Just an update, I received an email from Jan Chris' sister and both she and Mary, his daughter, are extremely pleased that his work will be preserved here. It means so much to them that we've honored his legacy so a big thank you to Kevin for his assistance in making it happen.

    Cheers

    Hi Aussie,

    You're welcome - it was a pleasure.

I added MR_Searchlights to the updated Library Objects Expansion Pack. The object was made by Robert John for Chris's Gilbert Islands scenery.

As long as Lindsay doesn't mind, I think it would be a good idea to upload his lovely trees to SOH. What do you think?

    Cheers,

    Kevin

Shocking and sad news. Chris changed the face of CFS2. His transformational work breathed new life into the sim. We honor his memory each time we fly over one of his airfields. Prayers and condolences to his family and friends. So sad.

    RIP Chris.

Thank you for your help and friendship.

Stand easy, your duty is done.
