    IndiaFoxtEcho Ford Class carriers released

IndiaFoxtEcho have announced that they've sent their Ford class carriers to all their usual market places. It's cool to see MQ-25s on the deck.

    From there Facebookpage:

    FORD-CLASS CARRIERS RELEASE
    ***********************************
We are releasing our Ford-Class scenery package to our usual distributors as we write this - they should be available with the usual lead times (few hours to a couple of days)
Much like of America-Class package, these are high-detail static objects placed in several locations around the world.

    IMPORTANT!
This package only contains only static landable objects.
Crash must be disabled to avoid potential collision detection issues. Landmarks point are provided, but there are no Navaids associated.
Flights cannot be started directly from the ships.
Due to the high detail, there may be a slight stuttering once the ship loads (approximately 10km from the ship).

AIRCRAFT LAUNCH AND RECOVERY FUNCTIONS MUST BE IMPLEMENTED AT AIRCRAFT LEVEL.
CARRIERS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH INDIAFOXTECHO T-45C GOSHAWK AND F-35C LIGHTNING II.

WE SUGGEST YOU SET 25 KNOTS OF WIND BLOWING FROM THE BOW TO HAVE A MORE REALISTIC RELATIVE SPEED BETWEEN THE CARRIER AND THE AIRCRAFT (...and this will also generate much cooler waves).

    Initial release contains:
    USS Gerald R. Ford CVN-78
Near NAS Key West, Florida US
Near Kingsville, Texas, US (T-45C Goshawk Carrier Qualification Configuration)
    Near Los Angeles, California, US
    Near Honolulu, Hawaii, US

    USS John F. Kennedy CVN-79
Off the coast of the Olympic Peninsula, Washington, US
    Near Okinawa, Japan
    Near Norfolk, Virginia, US
    Adriatic Sea

    USS Enterprise CVN-80
    Near Sigonella NAS, Italy
    Arabic Gulf, near Bahrein

I think they mean that cat's and traps have to be done from within the aircraft code because they're not part of the scenery objects.

Correct. There are some planes -- F-35, T-45, and the must-have F/A-18 mod -- that have catapult/arresting code built into the plane. That's because MSFS doesn't support traps/catapults. (Or moving carriers... Or landable moving helipads on ships...)
