I initially purchased via Simmarket and downloaded 1.8 from there.
Automatic install. Cockpit updated. Can't find the manual. The previous version contained a manual which was lost when the community file was automatically deleted. Without a manual now.
Startup has changed a bit. Flew too fast, ripped the rudders and flaps. On four landing attempts, thinking they were good ones, managed to shred the tires losing the ability to taxi. Much more damage sensitive.
Strange...I looked at the manuals at Red Wing and they also show 1.7. How can Simmarket have 1.8 when the developer does not...and there has been no announcement. that I can find, from them on the update. BTW...I always pull all the documentation out of the community folder and put in another location.
Thanks,
Garry
Discord message appeared 4/29/22: Hello please stay in 1.7. the 1.8 was given by sim market and others without agreement from redwing. it is not finished as present a number of malfunctions appeared with the SU9. Thank you for your understanding.
And now for something not completely different:

Hi,
i did a Copy and Paste from D-ALUP and one of TeiscoDelRay Paints,i use only for me,
but if it is ok,i can upload?
also, all Paint´s wat use the Breitling Textures need a fix for 1.9............
cheers Ralf
Wip,
lh d-alin,
Simmarket uploaded v1.9.01 on 5/26/22. I downloaded that version. In the downloaded pdf manual it shows v01.8.5 at the bottom of each page and the readme shows the latest update as v01.08. Quite confusing.
I quess the update is 1.8 but v1.9 was used to fix the v1.8 that was accidentally released by Simmarket. Good results with a brief flight. Liveries have changed.
Check the manifest.json and see what version is listed there. If that doesn't match what's advertised in the update, I'd contact the author.
Thermaltake H570 TG Tower
X670 Aorus Elite AX motherboard
AMD Ryzen 9 7900X 12-Core Processor
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
NZXT Kraken X cooler
32GB DDR5 RAM
750 Watt PS
Windows 11 Home
so this is my Version of D-ALIN, Thomas give ok to upload,if Teisco (i use a Paint as Basic)give ok,i will upload.
if i get it better i will go more realistic and update.
The updates and version numbers are a confusing lot. The way I double checked was to go into Content Manager where - indeed - the version indicated for the latest download from SimMarket is 1.9.0
As mentioned, the Breitling livery has been replaced by a MATS livery.
I have made one rather short flight simply to check things out, and to attempt to discern any notable changes. The model doesn't "feel" much different from the last time I flew it. I think that's a good thing actually. The team still has a way to go, but progress is being made. It is a fun model, and challenging to fly properly. The automation helps quite a bit, and I find this one is actually easier to fly in VR than on a flat panel. There's a lot to look at and keep track of... VR helps you cover a lot of visuals quickly.
so in collaboration with Redwing team, The KLM Super Constellation The Flying Dutchman
Have Fun,
Cheers Ralf
