Great shots!
Now we just need about 10,000 of us to all fly in with you over the course of next weekend.
Thank you Denny! The default scenery is so spectacular around Oshkosh, and the recent enhancements to the airport itself, as I have linked to, make for a fantastic experience.
There was a large virtual gathering of alpha testers during one of the days that AirVenture was to be held last summer, and there will certainly be virtual get-togethers at Oshkosh again this summer. I can only imagine the amount/increase of aircraft choices we'll have by then as well.

The photo real quality of your screenies floors me. Any one of them could pass for "real". Top shelf.
Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken.
The screenshots are nice but I am absolutely thrilled at the scenery!! I can't wait to send this to my friends and fly there. We are there for real the entire week, every year. Thank you for pointing it out!
Nice shots John, I downloaded the new KOSH yesterday but you got a whole photo essay done before I had time even to try it out.
If there is a virtual gathering, how would it be possible to see others' aftermarket planes and skins if you don't have them installed yourself?
Regardless, I look forward to attending virtual AirVenture this year, even if just by myself, as I don't think there will be a real one, nor will I go this year if there is.

Yeah, each person would have to have all of the same addon airplanes and repaints installed for everyone to each as they should be. Of course last summer, during alpha testing, everyone who participated only had default aircraft and skins.
I did for a while, but for the past several months now, to make things easier on my system, I run it at 70% 4k (2688 x 1512).

That's why I never got into MP on FSX:SE. If you can't see your friends' cool rides, it loses a lot of appeal for me.
I've seen chatter on forums to the effect that it should be possible to bundle a shareable 3D model and skins with third-party planes that can be communicated to the server so that others can see your plane, as is done with custom characters in many other MP games, like Minecraft. But MS/Asobo would have to implement the feature and third-party developers would have to embrace it, that that still wouldn't solve the issue with user-converted legacy planes.
