Webcam turns on when I open Prepar3d

I have a Microsoft webcam with a light that only comes on when the camera is in use.

Every time I open Prepar3d V5 the webcam light turns on - does anyone else get that?

Not been able to find a setting for it yet, but confused as to why it lights up when opening the software......? Head tracking?

I don't want to hijack your thread, but when I launch P3Dv4.5 it flahses a screenshot of my desktop from a few days ago. Don't understand that either!
Striker, listen, and you listen close: flying a plane is no different than riding a bicycle, just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes.

Did you report these issues in the LM P3D forum or directly? Would be interesting to hear what they say about that.

    Cheers,
    Mark

I've just posted on their hardware support forum, I suggest anyone who has the same issue to add to the conversation on this topic: https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewt...=6315&t=141474

It's a bit disconcerting, and I can't find any settings that control it.....?

Apparently this is because P3D has voice recognition capability.

Never knew that. They ought to make it clear and allow the end user to select yes or no to using the Mic.
