    XCub-Related Videos

Here are some FlightChops videos that inspired my interest in the XCub during the alpha testing for MSFS and made it one of my top favorites - STOL flying, bush flying, river running, etc. They provide some great information on flap settings power settings as well.

Although not an XCub, here is a two-part video with the very similar Carbon Cub FX (also made by CubCrafters) and how to do a STOL approach and landing, with the stall warning beeping the whole way down. I really enjoy copying this procedure, exactly, in MSFS with the XCub - it does it just perfectly as shown in the videos. The bush strip they fly to/out of in the second video is Stehekin State Airport, WA, which looks just the same in the sim (a big patch of dirt surrounded by trees in a beautiful gorge near the Steheken River).

A two-part video that compares the XCub to two of the other CubCrafters aircraft, the Carbon Cub and the Carbon Cub FX. The big airport they fly out of in these videos is Yakima Air Terminal (McAllister Field) KYKM, home to CubCrafters, and the little grass airport they practice landings at is the nearby Buena Airport, on the Yakima River, only about a 5-6 minute flight away (and you have to deal with the same trees on the end of runway 29 as seen in the video).

Lots of videos at the CubCrafters' Youtube channel too: https://www.youtube.com/c/cubcrafters/videos

There are of course lots of videos and video diaries on Youtube from owners of CubCrafters aircraft and the back-country flights they've been on.
