    Virtavia Warning Star

The Virtavia Warning Star is nearing completion. I'm definitely looking forward to this release.

Not bad - but to my opinion the greyblue of the cockpit looks a little too sterile. In comparison to Manfred Jahns C-47 for example, this is too little "life" in this bird...Only my 50 cent....
    Best regards, Manfred.

Wow, very nice. It would be really cool if it also had working radar operator stations too.

I kind of thought the same but it still looks very good. I'm sure someone could give the VC a good weathering job to give it more than a factory fresh character. The reason I am interested in this model is because the JF Connie series is aged out a good bit and I had the A2A Connie in FSX but there were minor issues I didn't like about it and didn't want to pay for a full brand new (and expensive) model for P3Dv4 (I ended up with the PMDG DC-6 which I'm more happy with). Still, a Warning Star of this caliber even if it's a fairly simply model systems wise will be one I want to buy to have in my hangar as I have always liked and wanted a good EC-121 model.

According to their web site (The main page)

    SimMarket SimShack FlightSim.com

That's where it's available. I just looked at SimMarket, the one of those three I usually buy from, and it's up there.

    Hello

I bought it and tried it short yesterday evening

Additionally I may have to say that I am Connie specialist ( I am from Manfred Jahn's team- 1049 and 1649 FDE is mine)

Optical and 3 D model is stunning

Some other things ** ( but I have a look to it today again- maybe there was a mistake in installing ) are not so stunning

The flaps animation is wrong- first step flaps move straight back ( increase wing area) and then move down. They just move down
FDE is questionable in many things
now (**) I cannot operate the prop pitch setting gradually just on/off, what is a no go on Connie as, beeing the famous best "Trimotor" ,requires deep engine managment not to blow the Wright Turbo compound ( a thing also todays F1 engines have) engines up

I dont say at all you should not buy- not at all- just not so accurate as Alphasim/Virtavia usually were

    my 2 cents

So, what you're saying is I'll have to adopt your FDE for this model and make some CD0 adjustments for the increased drag. Got it.

Not sure "My" ( actually its huge teamwork and endless testing) FDE would be better. Our WV-1 ( far more drag then an ordinary L-1049 ) was only soso

I bought it a little while ago. I did make minor changes with the roll and pitch rates which to me seemed a bit high for this size of aircraft, added a tiny bit of Flap drag. I never upgraded my A2A L049 from FSX over the P3Dv4 (simply because I wanted to invest in other models) but I saved the sound file and moved it over into this one out of personal preference. The standard sound file is actually very good. I like the model inside and out, quite fun to fly.
