    That happens to me all the time...I've even seen a few Albs keep on flyin' after their engine decides to eject...

    If that's the engine....then why is the prop and the spinner still on? Guess that's like getting blown out of your shoes.

    Ok so I was right. I had mentioned in another thread about how hard it is to get planes to catch fire/lose control that on the rare occasion I do get one to flame, I always see something on fire drop out of the aircraft, and I thought it looked like the engine. Now we have proof.

    I think it may take a bit more than a canvas and dope cocktail to sort that out!!!

    That looks like the airfoil radiator to me, although I don't know why a radiator would be on fire.

    first from phase 1, rammed by RE.8 .. second from phase 2 at least the prop does not turn any more ..
