I think that is Sitka Airport, from Alaska.

Tongas Fjords X scenery package makes it much more true to life in the sim. The default scenery is... Not as advertised by that picture from the menu lol.

Is it safe to buy Tongass Fiord X from FSaddon or is there an alternative seller.
    Cheers Chris

Think I got it from FSAddon, but that was a while back. If you find you like exploring that part of the world, also check out Return to Misty Moorings. They've got 100s of freeware scenery locations designed to fit in the TFX area and the surrounding ORBX regions, everything from little cabins on secluded lakes or inlets, to elaborate lodges, farms etc. Wonderful small plane exploration.

Does anyone know if Tongass Fiord X is P3D v4 compatible?

I would not say "natively" compatible, but there is a very detailed procedure for installing this marvelous scenery here

    It really worthwhile the effort

I've just been to Sitka....took off in the C172 and flew around sightseeing. Everything is all brown and the default scenery looks nothing like the real life Sitka in the photo pic that stearmandriver posted. However I can now say that I've been to the airport in that preview window. I'm sure Tongass Fjords X would make a big difference to the scenery.

I have it installed using these directions and it is worth it. You need it installed for a lot of the RRTMM scenery and also for the boat traffic at RRTMM. Alaska is hopping with all this installed. :-)

    Sitka's beautiful

I took this from the back porch of our hotel in Sitka at sunset. The color on this picture is 100% unretouched -- it really looked like this that night. Amazing.

Great pic , Denny. As far as I'm concerned, Sitka on a nice day is the most beautiful place in the world. TFX does a good job of capturing some of that.

Yes very nice picture on approach into Sitka Stearman Driver and the Beaver on the water. Had to have a look in my FSX setup.

Here is Sitka from my FSX system, only addons are ORBX Global, Global Vector ORBX Trees and Alaskan Terrain Mesh. Striking thing is how much more forested the area is in real life.
