    The Carenado C-185 not P3Dv4 ready ?

    One of my favorite bush planes . Unfortunately not on any of Carenado's lists as being v4 ready . I assume it got put in the back of the pack but hope not forgotten . Anyone know if Carenado plans on possibly converting to an HD model for v4 ? That would make my day !

    Same here Rich! It flies ok in V4 but I'm sure it still requires the official update, yet Carenado seems to be doing every other airplane except the 185 Bush. I was hoping I would see it on this latest list. . .but alas. . .still not done.

    imho, it works perfect in P3Dv4, even without update

    Need to redirect it during installation but it works fine for me.
    Excuse the mediocre screen grab.

    Also the C-172N drops straight into P3D V4. Been using it as my default aircraft since day 1.

    Yep, it works.
    I've Installed it, like in the cockpitsound_c185.zip Readme_C185.txt explained,
    and in the gauge folder i have renamed Doug Dawson's "dsd_p3d_xml_sound_x64.dll" to "dsd_fsx_xml_sound.dll" and deleted the dsd_fsx_xml_sound.gau file .
    That should work.

    AP

    Is it the AP toggle working? I directed the installation towards: Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\Carenado and all works ok except the AP.
    Thanks

    ezunino,
    you are right,
    the autopilot isn't working in P3D4.
    But if you change this entries in the panel.cfg,
    you will have an working AP.

    under
    [Window02]
    .
    .
    gauge00=Bendix_King_Radio!Bendix-King Radio AP, 0,0,367

    and under
    [Vcockpit03]
    .

    gauge00=Bendix_King_Radio!Bendix-King Radio AP, 7,6,484,183

    It flies ok in V4 but I'm sure it still requires the official update, yet Carenado seems to be doing every other airplane except the 185 Bush.
    The C185 was never released for any version of P3D, it's FSX only...so Carenado will never release a P3Dv4 update.
    Same problem affects other aircraft/developers, most tragically (for me) the A2A Boeing 377 - which I suspect is a no-hoper, especially the Captain-of-the-Ship model.

    In many cases, as with the C185, an FSX-only version works fine with a few tweaks as above (the cockpit toggle for the amphibian wheels also won't work, not a biggie).
    I also got the Carenado 206G to work after a fashion, mostly with C185 gauges

    Cheers

    if you mean the lights,
    there is perhaps a solution, provided you have the Bonanza F33
