Awesome! Been blown away by the previews. Thanks for the heads up.
Thank you Henrik!
Cheers,
"Try to stay in the middle of the air. Do not go near the edges of it. The edges of the air can be recognized by the appearance of ground, buildings, sea, trees and interstellar space. It is much more difficult to fly there".
Thanks for the info! Anybody knows if the previous packages is needed with this new file? Or it´s a "standalone" new version?

Hi Flaviossa.
This is an update only. Henrik strongly suggests the main install from last year is installed first (which kind of suggests it may work without, but think of what you'd be missing!)
A.
Thanks!!

Woo hoo! Off to download now. Thanks very much for the heads up.

Kind of a large file, but AvSim downloads faster than most others.

Just curious if anyone knows if he's done anything with Mississippi River boat traffic?

Tenuously related link I just saw on twitter https://www.shipmap.org shows world shipping during 2012. Probably not as detailed as Henrik's...

Thank you, Henrik! Shipping just makes the world feel much more alive; I recently installed FTX global, so I am flying in places I wouldn't usually fly, and really enjoying seeing new ai on the water.
Hi

Amazing work as always Henrik! The oceans are alive with your work. It is great pleasure to fly and spot the ships roaming the oceans.
I still need to create those double ended ferry routes in Greece...
Great srceenshots! They match quite well and you discovered that the package includes more than what you see at the first sight!!! (For those not knowing there are several "classic" repaints included but not activated like the British Broadsword class in three variants.) I would love to include the Birtish aircraft carriers but never took the time to ask for the permissions.
Yes indeed.. first things first.. look down the list and see what's hiding in there!!
I don't think Gary would mind that incarnation of Ark Royal (his latest.. 2010 config) to be added though of course, permission would have to be sought. Think it's about time I let my little Ton Class Mine-hunter out into the big wide world too. Will clear it with Dave Garwood first (he made it for me) but I can't see any problems. Use would be limited for it as they're all plastic now but it'd fit fine in a 50's/60's/70's scenario

That would be great! I am thinking about how to approach the classic routes. Inside the packs there probably around 150 - 200 ships which date back to the eighties or earlier; everything from fishing boats to ferries and navy tankers - most have been included because they have survived and are still active; others are included for nostalgic reasons - like I saw them as a kid, my dad sailed on it, somebody aske me to do it because he sailed on it... It would be perfectly feasable to do an eighties package with the material now available however it would have to be limited to certain areas - eg. the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. it would be more fun to do a 60 package because of the larger variation of ships before everything was put in containers - however for that I still need to create a bunch of models.
Thank you very much,Henrik----amazing work!
Mike
Okay with me to use Ark. Also have (incomplete) but updated versions of invincible and illustrious from my previous (blue) incarnations - feel free to drop me a PM Henrik and we can agree a timeline for me to get them complete to include them in a package if you wish.
Also have one or two other RN related things in the pipeline which you can use but I might need your help-I'll drop you a note.
Gary
Nice one Gary

Fantastic!!! The aircraft carriers will give a great lift to the package. I haven't had the patience to do one myself. Including Jagl04's Principe de Asturias was already good; getting more is just fantastic. After all it is a flight simulator even if I do my best to change that..... With the british aircraft carriers included I might even start thinking about doing Atlantic Conveyor which some of you might miss for a Falklands task force - it would at the same time serve perfectly in a classic ship package in it's civil version. Appropos the Falklands... they are included with routes in the recent update - HMS Montrose is patrolling down there, a couple of cruise ships also explore the fjords, and then I guess an illegal fishing boat or two are also around
Gary, I will send you a PM later in the day.
Henrik
Today I saw and download version 2 of the 200 AI ships on Avsim: https://library.avsim.net/esearch.ph...en&DLID=200129
Thanks Henk! Downloading it now.
