    1944 Predator : "Typhoon"

Interdiction mission in northern France, southern of Caen town.
    Train target has been spotted.

Apart of fly by sound, no other effect used in video. Everything else
    is Tacpack.

    To be continued...

WWII Europe West Front : Pre & After Normandy landings project, takes
my priority over the WWII Pacific fotoreal for now...

Searching for AI Air threats, freeware AH BF-109E has been tested and
will serve well for the job... (G, K versions I don't think are available. No freeware
FW-190 also out there. There is a FW 200 that can be used also, Maritime operations and Recon plane).

Normandy coast photoreal : And what about train, tank, bridge, truck, structures, boats busting over
    photoreal ?!... (from here -> http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/...oreal-scenery/)

And of course under functional Flak defences and with Alpha freeware Typhoon - though causes a 4-5 FPS
impact, haven't concluded yet about that - as an AI Wingman capable
of detecting ground targets and informing the user (and maybe bombing also, but requires FSX@War theater
for that...), for Single & Co-operative Multiplayer with JoinFS.

If any suggestions - ideas about planes, vehicles, sceneries etc. you're welcome.

I dont know how you feel about Mr Scrub, but he did a mod of J R Lucairny's 190, uncredited i think, i tried it myself a while back and works fine. Have a look through the FSX Vintage section at Simvation, thats where a lot of WW2 port-over's live, might find a 109 in there also

sadly, the Akemi/Team Daedalus 190 wont show in FSX, which is a shame as i loved flying it in cfs2, it needs someone who's handy with MDLX, which im not im afraid.

    cheers ian

I think Paul Rebuffat's Bf 109G, which was revised by David Hanvey and Paul Barry might work as AI in FSX.

And there are plenty of repaints available for them. Steve "Stalin B. did hundreds of them!

    Cheers,

An all time classic , i'll have to give it a go myself.

    Thank's for the advise.

In Simviation I found almost everything I need regarding AI planes... but I'll check every option
out before decide what I 'll finally use and include in final "pack". Many stuff to be tested on
how they look, behave and any FPS impact issues (important criterion to me).
Currently, I've downloaded and installed the photoscenery at OZX...
Exact same video location as with my first post, after installing the photoscenery :

For anyone interested of installing this photoscenery, since has great resolution thus it's big, you'll be
needing to download only the "Part_1" (this is west France, while part_2's are east France) from 31N
down to 28N (or even southern if you prefer). 30N is at the Invasion beaches.

Since it's not a WWII photoscenery, it will take a carefull choice of the country areas that action will
take place for not killing the immersion.

    Tank busted !

These are the drivable "aircraft" category tank versions with important FPS impact (being 4 of them).
I'll have to test the AI Ground vehicle versions to see about that...

Hey I recognise that area. Its the Cotes d'Emeraude (Bretagne - France) between Cancale and St.Malo. I recognise the small lake near the Chapel of Notre Dame du Verger.

You better watch out, as the coast was a heavy fortified area!

    Cheers,
    Huub

Good news, cause Bretagne has really good countryside in photoreal...

Slowly advancing with my project and testing. With Autogen added
(from here -> http://www.f-bmpl.com/index.php/basse-normandie ) to the photoreal
Normandy scenery, this is the best(est...) virtual environment for mil. ops.
I have on my system... Haven't flown this yet in DX10 with the addition of cloud & pit
shadows, since I can't record good video there..., which features :

    - the photoscenery with autogen added (nice !...)
    - AI Typhoon Wingman with British voice overs (IL2)
    - destructible target bridge (consists of two parts - simple simobjects)
    - AI BF-109 G10
    - IanP's "B7LG" Advanced Landing Ground (my close to action testing airfield)

    Sortie's Target Bridge (missed):

" I have experienced in my plane, all those things other people will never know about." *

Western Front : Caen's Sector. Sortie's target was a destroyer.

Red labels off & confusing situation. Thought that first
no critical hit was dew to the destroyer below, since had checked
12 & 3 o'clock according to Red 2 for fighters. Second hit and oil leak,
meaning no RTB, checked "Six" but too late... Decided to try bombing the
destroyer, missed and left wing damaged during the attack securing the
    one way ticket for today...

(DFC 13 March 1945). Promoted to Cpt and leader of "A" squadron of RAF's 2nd
Tactical AirForce. KIA near Bocholt during ground attack from AA fire, 6 weeks before
War's end, after flying for 26 months in RAF's fighters (9 Air Kils, 50+ various ground targets).

    This is very nice!

I've been thinking of a WW2 scenario of Holland as well, but the thoughts went more into the direction of period photoscenery, a rather difficult thing. But, that's not even needed after seeing your video!

some more News from the Front...
Functional Bomber gunners script created. Active gunners range 1200ft, chance to get critical hits
every 5 secs inside gunners range. In Action :

This is the most "sofisticated" theater I've made... ETA @ SOH 2-3 WEEKS.

The "V1 flying bomb Interception" Task added, leading to 4
different types of tasks, one of which automatically assigned
to user at the start of the mission :

    - Ground Attack,
    - Anti-Shipping,
    - Bombers Interception &
    - V1 Interception.

BFs will always be there with a 40% chance to encounter during sortie...

I'll release today or tomorrow a Pre-final version, for people
that would like to have a test ride with this. Fully functional,
difference from Final release concerns mainly the number of
different tasks - type of target/place combinations that I have to add
in time - here just one sortie of each task type.
